I kind of agree with him.  It's an internet thing though.  The internet is full of media trolls and people trying to make a name for themselves saying stupid stuff.  I don't think this board is that where you can actually say your piece without the bs of other boards. The internet is still full of a lot of nonsense though and people running with stuff that has absolutely nothing to do with what is going on. If you believe everything you read on the internet you are either a sheep or  a troll creating the nonsense. This thread I took more in fun though.  It's good to have different perspectives although some of it is just nonsense.

I was thinking that he needed to drop 10 lbs or so while watching the last game.  His face looks fat and his butt is starting to protrude like Sullinger's did.  Not ideal for someone who will be playing some point guard.
based on that video I would agree with this. Not sure if he has lost quickness or not. Maybe if they expect him to play a little more at the forward spots this could make some sense

I agree he looks like he has a role player body.

I think he has a body like Marshawn Lynch, Marion Barber III or Hightower.  He's a guy who can become a star at some point. There is some question how long he can sustain that level.  Right now he's a defensive guard who can play some pg in a pinch and settle our offense down.  His potential is more than that though.  I think he can be better than that.

I guess it was too much to ask to have 1 season without a FAT thread.

I won't make fun of people for their weight, but yesterday was the first time I'd seen Celtics preseason highlights, and when I saw Marcus, my first thought was that he appeared to have gotten bigger in the offseason, and not necessarily in a good way.
There are two kinds of people: those who say to God, 'Thy will be done,' and those to whom God says, 'All right, then, have it your way.'

You don't have a soul. You are a Soul. You have a body.

Marcus is a big wide human, he's not chiseled like some. He's built for hard work, not the show ring. I'm sure as the season move on he'll play himself into top condition.

Marcus may have spent his summer cleaning up in games of "chubby bunny."

He looks quicker this year to me and more smooth

He's got a good first step.  He's so big people get out of his way. He did a good job running the offense last game.  He still needs to shoot consistantly but everything else is great. His shooting has been fixed so far.

Credit for getting a little better as a pg but oh my gosh he looks like a bowling ball, and not in a good way.  Super slow and not at all explosive.  Three more years and he'll be able play tackle in the nfl.

10.6℅ Bodyfat at 227 pounds at the combine? What's your bodyfat 20.0%??

He's the hardest working guy on the team, he's the anti Sullinger. If he wasn't 230 pounds he couldn't guard practically anyone.

He's got that Baron Davis / Ray Felton / Eric Gordon build.

It's fine.

He's probably better suited to play the three.

Let Rozier get the backup minutes at the one. He's much quicker.

If you must know, and this is the truth, I am 46 and in better shape than most people who are in their 20's.  Still get stares from the ladies and haven't missed a workout in over four years. What's my body fat?  I have no idea but I would guess it anywhere near 20%.

All that said, what the heck does it matter what kind of shape I am in?  I'm not a professional athlete getting paid to stay in shape.  Finally, did you actually quote smarts combine measurements?  Dude, I'm not talking about that Marcus smart.  I'm talking about the rolly polly I saw yesterday.
