HOW?

Please, someone brief me the reason.

What in god's name happened?

Their starters got into a groove against our third string.  Nothing to sweat.

i was only able to watch part of the first half. is it worth watching a replay of the rest of the game tomorrow?
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Oh...it's their starters against our 3rd string?  Did our starters play at all?

embiid and saric happened.

No, actually it was just that our bench was trash when it mattered and then came on strong against Philly's dleaguers when it was too late.

System play was non-existent. But for a pickup game it was ok

I couldn't believe how good Avery looked in the P&R. He had 6 Assists, which is really rare for him, and he was handling the ball with ease. Plus his shot looked perfect, an the defense was there. I can't believe how he keeps getting better every year. He's still only 25!

Rozier is in line for a real jump this year. It looks like he's gonna run the offense for the 2nd unit more than Smart. This kid can get to the rim whenever he wants and he's starting to look like the game is slowing down for him. Defense was really good too.

Horford is gonna really help us, and Brown is more NBA ready than you probably think. Did some really impressive things tonight.

And who the hell though James Young was gonna start solidifying his spot?!

Haven't even seen highlights yet, but it sounds like Jimmy completed puberty in favorable fashion tonight.

Seeing mixed reviews re: Rozier.  Inconsistent but made some plays?

Pretty much a spot on assessment. Crowder is going to bring Brown aboard rather quickly.

Watched the highlights this morning on NBA.com, the commentator was creaming over Embiid doing it all so I thought he must have had a huge game! Turns out they showed the only 2 shots he made...

Rozier looked the same.. good handle, changing speeds, probing the D, as usual. He will be getting  17-20 mins per game this year I'm guessing.

Jaylen Brown looked really good. If I hadn't known he was a rookie I definitely never would have guessed it, he was extremely confident, poised and always making the right play. His stats sheet may not be impressive but he was excellent for his first game, I think we don't have to worry about his mental toughness (i.e he won't be passive like Jeff Green although they have the same "snooze" look).

I didn't notice any change in Smart's shot though but we'll see if his mechanic has really improved over the next few games. Rozier looked good after a bad first half but overall the second unit was playing too much one-on-one.

On the other hand, I was just giddy looking at the perfect fit between Horford and the rest of the starters, everything looked so easy and he was involved in every play during his short stint. I know we were only facing the Sixers (and lost) but I'm really looking forward to this unit playing against some real competition in games that matter.

How did the Celtics lose...

I think CBS was more interested in playing the guys on the Fence , rookies to see how the bottom half of the Celtics team is shaking out.  The starters took care of business .

Zeller , RJ , Jackson ....just sucked too much to beat the D leaguers.

Smart and Rozier played ok. Young and  Brown contributed .  Too much bad basketball from the guys Brad left in trying to make the team to insure a win.  They were close to a win dispite the two on five advantage Philly had .  End of the bench was to bad for Smart and Rozier to over come by themselfs.

Green and KO would have helped Rozier and Smart .

Zeller is a liability
