This is not a situation where per 36 numbers should be used

I agree.  It's unfair to him given it was his very first competitive basketball in 3 years.   He's probably better than that.

Weren't you just saying the other day that you expected people to overreact to Embiid's first game because you thought he'd look rough? Looks like the tables have turned.

Embiid FAR exceeded my expectations.  He was significantly better than anyone could have reasonably hoped for him at this point.   It was a fantastic debut - barring some report that he blew out his knee in that play he came up limping from.

You must have been not expecting very much at all from him then, huh? Like literally him going out there and not hurting himself would've been a win for you lol

No not IMO. His shot is a bit off but he's doing a good job in other parts of his game.

Well we're talking about one of the shallowest teams in the league - missing three of their best players (Bayless, Simmons, Okafor) and having another on a 12 minute restriction (Embiid).  Going against one of the deepest teams in the league.  We shouldn't be losing this game.  That's not good.

Winning is important , but letting guys like Young , Brown show what they got , see what they bring to the table is important.  We know Al and IT can play.

I think he had his first legitimate scrimmage in like 3 years last week.  I expected him to look like total garbage tonight.  He didn't.  I'm impressed.  Embiid had a really nice debut all things considered.
