If this was posted previously. Oh well. It's September.
Lately, my players have been debating this. What was the biggest factor at the end of Game 7?

What was the defining moment in the NBA Finals.

Kyrie Irving's clutch 3 Point Shot
This put them up 92-89.

Lebron Jame's Block of Iguodala
(This was Russellesque. He traveled across time.  Oh if only Iguodala had tried to dunk and not
double clutched it.)

Steph Curry's demise into Hero ball.
(Tough game for one of the NBA's finest. But he tried to do too much)

Definitely the block. That will be the play that is most remembered from the series, along with Dray getting himself suspended.

Man LeBron is really fast when he's running at full speed.  I wonder how fast he actually is.  I want to see a bunch of NBA players in 200m dash or something.

To me it's the SHOT !
The block was great but the shot was the biggest action deciding the game!
For almost the last 2 or 3 min of the game both teams couldn't buy a basket because of the pressure of the situation.
The block prevented the cavs to be down 2 but with the SHOT they would have still been able to win.
But if you get the block but not the shot, it's warriors ball with championship on the line and at best overtime playing away... no guarantee cavs win without the shot.

Also that SHOT had a huge implication on the Celtics future!!
Had cabs lost, Very likely Warriors keep their historic repeating team together and Durant falls into our lap. Very likely Kevin Love get traded from the cavs and we were best positioned to get him...
Imagine :

Thomas Bradley Durant Love Horford
Rozier Smart  Crowder Olynyk Amir

To me the SHOT costs us the Kevins....

Gotta be the Block. That'll be Lebron James' iconic moment for his career.

Until he drops 60 on Durant in next year's Finals.

That's just not happening. GS in five games next year, it should be a sweep. So dumb that Durant joins the best regular season team ever.

To me there is no game 7 if Draymond doesnt get suspended or if he isnt basically ignored offensively in game 6. He was the GSW difference maker in this series and wasnt there for one game, his fault, and then ignored offensively in game 6, Kerr's or Curry's fault.

But if its just game 7 you look at then its the block.

The block is the most incredible and the most iconic moment of that game. However, I do think Irving's shot was more crucial to the outcome.

The block is the iconic play.

However, my main memory of game 7 was how horrible the 4th quarter was when everything was on the line. The Cavs outscored arguably the best offensive team in NBA history, 18-13. In the last 4:39, the score was 4-0.

The block was a great play during a dismal 4th quarter where both teams failed to step up.

When I remember that game, Kyrie's shot isn't even the second thing that comes to my mind. It's Kevin Love isolated on the perimeter guarding Curry, and Curry not being able to get a good shot off.

Kyrie was huge, no doubt. That last two minutes had a bunch of huge moments.

The block.  That was unreal.

For most guys pinning the ball on the backboard is a goal tend.  They have never called it on  LeBron

Quote
f. Trap the ball against the face of the backboard. (To be a trapped ball, three elements must exist simultaneously. The hand, the ball and the backboard must all occur at the same time. A batted ball against the backboard is not a trapped ball.)

He has got away with it for years.  I hate it when the NBA has a set of rules for its stars amd another for the rest of the league.

"defining moment" was the block no doubt.  Not sure it was the most important.
