OK so here are three what if deals. Assume they are all on the table don't worry about if possible. Only decide on which you like best. All three give up the Nets 2018 1st but each gives up different levels of current roster players to make them happen. Basically it's meant to see on how you view the player received and the players going out.

Smart, Brown, AJ and Nets 2018 1st
for
Cousins
Starters= IT, AB, Crowder, Hordford, Cousins
Bench=Rozier, Hunter, Green, JJ, KO
(It's two high level prospects, a very good role player and the pick for a big time player)

Zeller, KO, and Nets 2018 1st
for
Favors
Starters=IT, AB, Crowder, Favors, Hordford
Bench=Smart, Brown, Green, JJ, AJ
(It's two lesser role players and the pick for an underrated player)

AJ, KO, JJ and Nets 2018 1st
for
Milsap
Starters=IT, AB, Crowder, Milsap, Hordford
Bench=Smart, Brown, Green, Mickey, Zeller
(It's two lesser + one good role player and the pick for an upper level player)

None.... even for cousins you are giving up too much... love was a top player and all you needed was wiggins.... smart and 2 top 3 picks for cousins... why?

90% of the time you overpay in the NBA.

I wouldn't give up the Brooklyn pick alone for Milsap and Favors. They are both good players, not superstars.

I would trade the Brooklyn pick plus filler for Cousins. I think both Smart and Brown (#6 and #3 picks in the draft) are more than fillers for a deal. If we have to give up either, I would push to trade the Nets '18 pick.

Ideally, this team grows organically and doesn't have to overpay. With 2 more high picks coming up in the next two years, we should have a solid chance at a potential super star that doesn't have Demarcus Cousin's awful body language.
The only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing.

THIS^^^^^  None of the proposed deals are worthwhile.

don't like any of the proposals.  too much for any of those players.  Cousins is close to what Sac would want but it leaves us with a crap bench.

Cousins one is tempting.

I dont think any of them get the job done. All underpays. We win in terms of value in all 3.

I maybe dont do the Milsapp one, only because it seems like it cuts our ceiling off something short of true contention, same with Favors.

That said, I think all 3 of those teams turn us down quickly.

Of course this is always happens to trades I suggest. I get over pays and under pays comments on the same trade. Guys it must be close to fair if I get both on the same trade right? So don't worry just vote on which you would prefer.

I took the Favors deal as I want to keep the most depth talent possible. Even though he isn't as good as Millsap or Cousins he is still a factor.

I think the Cousins one is tough to swallow, the other two seem fair. What's Millsaps contract?

I'd go for the Favors deal out of the 3

Favors was decent. I'd probably laugh in the faces of the others

I'm being greedy while patient at the same time saying I'd rather keep our assets, and go after another max free agent next offseason.  Maybe after then you could still go after Cousins in a trade with only a year left of his contract while not giving up as much as you give now.  Even if you signed another big like Griffin next summer and then trade for Cousins, you then have Horford as he gets more into his 30s play the Walton super 6th man role. Ha

Seriously though after mulling it over I'd rather take my chances in FA and not overpay in a trade, unless if it really is a fair trade.

I'd do the first two, wouldn't do the third.  I also think Boston could get Gay along with Cousins, which I think helps the roster balance a lot more.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

Let's bear in mind that 1) Cousins is better than Love and 2) that the Brooklyn 2018 pick is no guarantee to be #1 or even that close. With the T-Wolves, they knew they were getting the #1 pick for Love.

If cousins isn't a complete malcontent and bad for team you would have to take that deal even though it's an overpay.  Other two deals don't do a thing for me.
What about Noel, just sign him as free agent.  Defensive force we need, fifth option on offense.  Have him concentrate on blocking, rebounds and team defense.  Pick and rolls and put backs.  Most important we give up nothing to get him.  Or sign and trade but he can be had for not that much.
