What do you think?

It seems that the Chicago Bulls' current iteration is destined to fail, because their team just doesn't seem to fit together whatsoever. Additionally, Rondo, Butler, and Wade all have strong personalities that seem very at odds with each other. Rondo is incapable of playing off the ball, and both Butler and Wade are much, much better with the ball in their hands, along with neither being a real threat to shoot from the outside either.

In combination with Hoiberg still learning the NBA game and not really commanding the locker room, I think it's a good bet that there will be some turmoil there during the season.

The question is this: will it happen before the new year or after? I say before.

Chicago is just grasping at straws to try to stay relevant.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
I think they are likely to fail, but will be good soldiers until just before the all-star break. I suppose it's possible that everybody puts aside their egos for the greater good of the team, but losing breeds negativity - especially for veterans. It really depends if they are able to stay in the playoff picture.

While I think you are correct with the thought that they are all ball dominant,
I think that DWade and Butler will do well with Rondo. They all are capable of breaking their man down and creating their own offense.  Add in Lopez and Portis and the line-up is formidable.

I think they make the playoffs if healthy.  Like Indianapolis, they may surprise.

That team is really weird on paper.  If Butler hated playing with Rose, I can't imagine he'll be thrilled about playing with two post-prime ball hogs.

They might do better than NYK.  Rose is absolute poison.

I think they'll surprise. As Wade isn't as young as he once was, will appreciate Rondo. He'll get them both some easy baskets. Because of that lack of pursed shooting they're not beating the cavs of anything but I say expect a VERY impressive Rondo this year and I wouldn't surprise me (If healthy) they end up in the ECF. They wouldn't be my first pick to face the Cavs but I wouldn't be shocked. Rondo and Wade are clutch.

I see the Bulls as a playoff team this season. I don't except too much failure there.

However, I don't see Indy being labeled as a surprise. They should be a top 2-3 team in the east.
