jerebko important in early season

with kelly recovering still from shoulder operation and not playing all summer-
jerebko has to start the season shooting well-jerebko even bought a house with an indoor basketball court and is shooting 500-1000 3 pointers a day
the security blanket of turners mid range and ability of getting to hoop has me concerned
-rozier has never run a unit against nba  players,jaylen has a lot to learn, no kelly-
jerebko is straight line-maybe green as jaylen adjusts
sully and turner  were a constant force
what will be 2nd teams starting lineup till kelly gets back?

I agree, Jerebko has been nothing but amazing, with great work ethics. He may not be a superstar, but he provides very good veteran presence. I hope he can help mentor the young players as well. He plays with so much energy that you can't help but root for the guy

On paper jerebko would seem to be a great fit starting next to Al.
A do it all dirt dog who would compliment and prosper next to our own Mr Fundamental

I wouldn't be surprised at all if Jerebko begins the season as the starting PF and keeps that spot for most of the year.

His shooting and versatility are really valuable there.  I think he could be good next to Horford.  You can look at him as sort of a more well rounded version of Mike Scott.

His recovery from off season shoulder surgery means he won't be available for the first month of the season, not sure the exact time table.

I would be surprised if he started, not necessarily because he doesn't deserve to, but because it would leave our bench unit with absolutely no shooting until Kelly comes back.  I'm thinking it'll be Amir and Horford starting, with Jerebko subbong in for Amir as the first big off the bench

I really am not sure what to expect from the bench.

Smart is a gamer, but his offensive game has a long way to go.

Rozier, Brown, Hunter, Mickey -- these guys have very little meaningful experience.  We don't know what the team can realistically expect them to do.

Green is a bit of a wild card.

Jerebko is solid, but I think he's the kind of guy who looks better playing alongside better players.  On the bench his lack of any particularly great skills is more noticeable.

Zeller is solid but lineup and matchup dependent. 

Kelly comes into this season with a significant injury.  Might not be 100% for a while.

Amir is solid, though as you say he might be a starter.



I don't know.  I was totally in favor of letting Turner go.  I advocated for it repeatedly, in fact.  But the Celts are definitely heading into this season more or less crossing their fingers that some of these unproven guys makes a jump.

It's a shame turner took almost all of smart's dribbling duties and now he's just gone. King of better if he never came here now.

Never can tell but he said he's ahead of schedule. Had he not put the surgery off and got it as soon as he should have he would be on time for camp. I know AB had both his shoulders done but I don't remember him waiting a month later like KO did. I also don't remember Love waiting a month. KO wasted that month because he wanted to try to help Canada get into the Olympics but it was obvious to everyone that he needed the surgery because reports that entire month said he needed it and you don't see 5 doctors unless the first 4 advised you to have surgery, after 5 he finally gave in.
