He's been great. I'm not sure how dramatically he's improved, though. Statistically, he put up similar numbers a few years ago when we were a bottom 5 team. But he's doing it now while contributing to a solid playoff team. I wish he was less injury prone. We would have stood a better chance of getting out of the first round had he been healthy.
Well, his aggregate per-game counting stats may not have changed dramatically, but his eFG% (.520) and TS% (.538) were both dramatically higher than the previous 3 seasons and the highest of his career other than his freakish second season, which was a much smaller sample than this season.
He very clearly showed significant improvements in both shooting and scoring efficiency, despite playing a lot more than ever (career high in minutes).
His USG% dropped a little, as we depended more on IT and Crowder for more of the scoring load, which accounts for ABs counting stats only going up slightly, despite the huge improvement in efficiency.
