Great to see we're back on Christmas Day again! The league has finally taken notice of us again.

Also, figured this would be a good place to congratulate Kevin. If you haven't heard (or maybe it's been posted here, sorry), Kevin has been hired as a full time staff member for The Ringer! Really amazing to see how far he's come! Huge props to him for staying dedicated to this and seeing it pay off now!
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Going to be a tough game against Melo-Rose-Noah-Porzingis quadruple. Last time the C's played on Christmas, they beat the Brooklyn Nets. But the last time the C's played the Knicks, it was to open the lockout season in a loss  :(

Hoping the Celtics can win!

People are SEERRRRRIIIIOOOOOUUUSSSSLLLLYYYYY overrating the Knicks lol

But I'm glad that we'll be back in the spotlight at Christmas, and being in NYC means we'll probably start the day, too! Takes me back to the opening day of the magical season of 2011-2012!

I'm interested to see of KD plays a little looser this year. He's had some trouble in crunch time, but there's so little pressure on him now, he may really thrive. Disappointing that he didn't choose us, but objectively, they'll be a lot of fun to watch.

I think they're not a super team lol, but they aren't that bad! Rose is still a fairly solid point guard (albeit I'm saying this by looking just at his stats), Melo is Melo, porzingis is better this year. That's a good core right there.

Rose is still solid and a major upgrade. Zinger will improve, may have his breakout year. "Melo is Melo." Noah will make a significant contribution at some point in the year. Courtney Lee was a nice pick-up. Brandon Jennings can create offense off the bench.

They'll be significantly better than last year.

Just make him shoot jumpers. His technique has always been ugly, but it seems to be getting worse. Give him open jumpers, he'll miss a couple and that's that. Confidence down the drain and you'll have him where you want him.

Can someone explain why the Celtics NEVER play at home on Christmas?  Okay, I believe they've done it once but the point still stands.

Here's one possible explanation from NBA.com

Quote
No Christmas in Boston?
1964
As we mentioned above, Boston has played host to only one of the Celtics’ 29 Christmas Day games. Their tradition of playing only on the road on Christmas Day stems from Red Auerbach not wanting to subject his staff to working a home game on the holiday.

That being said, for one reason or another, Boston hosted a Christmas Day game was in 1964 against the Detroit Pistons. We’ve already highlighted this contest because Celtics Legend Sam Jones scored 34 points in it, which remains as the franchise’s top scoring effort on Christmas Day. John Havlicek (27 points) and Bill Russell (21 points) also had big games to help the C’s win their only Dec. 25 home game by a count of 118-1106.

Wow, the offense must have really been humming that day lol. Merry Christmas indeed.

TP for an interesting story, I never would have guessed this.

Celtics have to actually win games and add a good player to get on tv, Knicks just add a name without wins to back it up and get Xmas...

What did the Celtics do to the league?
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

What did the Celtics do to the league?

Keep in mind the league offices are across the bridge from Manhattan in northern Jersey. The Knicks playing at home on Christmas lets the league staff higher-ups spend Christmas at home with the family and still attend a game in person on one of the NBA's signature days, which I assume is more or less expected of them.

I would suggest you are looking at the wrong stats.  His team is +2.2 when he is on the bench and -2.2 when he is off.  His Win Share was 0.2 which is horrific for someone who played his minutes.

Additionally he is an alleged rapist who I hope the NBA suspends for the year.
