Please exclude here anything regarding the Celtics and write down what's your, at this point, most interesting, intriguing questions regarding the next NBA season. Here are mine, by no particular order or meaning, from the top of my head, plus short expectations.

- That team in Oakland, how it's gonna look? (hope they don't mesh well and it doesn't workout well for them. I know slim chances...)

- Clippers collapse again? (can't wait to see it)

- OKC missing the playoffs? (wouldn't surprise me at all)

- Is Harrison Barnes the franchise player? (I like him, so hope he does well in Big D)

- Are NY Knicks a playoff team and can they stay healthy? (Maybe and no)

- What are they doing in Orlando?

- Is Jason Kidd gonna get kicked outta Milwaukee? (Yes!)

- Are Utah, Minny and Portland new forces to be reckon with? (Not sure, but I like those teams)

- How much will it take for Rondo to punch Wade in his face? (Hope only two games lol)

- o/c are the Nets gonna suck? (already included in my prayers)

- is Brandon Ingram a waay to early in this league? (think he is)

- SAS WILL NEVER BE THE SAME WITHOUT DUNCAN? (apsolutely!)

- Boogie gets traded before the trade deadline to you know who? (yup)

- Houston averages most points in the league, Harden wins the scoring title and they miss the playoffs? (very possible)

- Can AD stay healthy and play whole 82 games? (hell no)

- Does Phoenix trade Knight before deadline to make room for Booker? (yes)

Please join in. Thx.

Can Melo and Rose co exist for the Knicks
Who will be the first coach to be fired?
How will Exum play for Utah after missing last season
Will Embiid play more than 1000 mins over the full season for the 76ers?
Will a team attempt more three's than two's over the full season
Will the Pistons take another leap forward?

-Does Houston set the record for 3pt shots taken in a single game? (Oh yeah.)

-Does Giannis take the next step? (Most intriguing, as Kidd seems to want to play him as a PG instead of a point forward. I think he needs to be more of a point forward.)

-Are the Bulls able to make the playoffs? (Yes, but they will have a lot of spacing problems.)

-Will Kevin Love trade rumors heat up after the Cavs get drummed by the Warriors when they play during the season? (No doubt.)

-Who wins ROTY this year? (I think simmons will have the biggest leash, and his passing and rebounding numbers should make up for his shooting. Although Dunn if given the starting reigns is interesting. Imagine 3 ROTY players in a row for the Twolves? Amazing.)

-What seed will the Celtics be? (I bet 3rd, but they are in it for the 2nd seed up until the last week of the season.)

-Who will have the worst record in the league? (Nets have the worst team in the league on paper, but no real reason not to play hard. Im guessing Philly is the worst, but it isn't a runaway like last year.)

-What will the Kings situation be? (Boogie gets fed up with the worst organization in Basketball, and demands a trade, Danny swoops in with the assets to get the best center in the league.)

-How will Miami perform? (Will be borderline lottery team for most of the year, but will sneak in at the end. Bosh has a decent year, and plays with restrictions. Hassan improves on last year, averages a few more points, rebounds, and less blocks.)

  • That's turrible
-GSW will not win 73 games again and may take a while to mesh. I see some cool plays happening but the defense will good not great.

-LAC will be LAC

-OKC will be between a 4 and 6 seed. They still have Westbrook and the supporting cast is pretty good.

-No

-The Knicks will still be third in the Atlantic and will maybe win 35-40 games. That team can't stay healthy.

-Orlando is getting good players, but they will still be as good as they were last year.

-All depends on dat record

-Portland yes, Utah maybe, Minny will be in a year or two. That talent needs to develop and they all need to get used to Thibs style.

-the Bulls will still suck

-Nets are giving us a top 3 pick again

-Ingram should have stayed another year

-SAS will still be a 2 seed because of Pop and the talent they still have

-we gonna Boogie come Feb, and it could be an ok deal too.

-Regarding Houston- yes

- AD wil be healthy this year

- Knight is totes getting traded. A Bledsoe/Booker backcourt will be nasty.

- That team in Oakland, how it's gonna look? (hope they don't mesh well and it doesn't workout well for them. I know slim chances...)

They'll win 70+ games and set the league record for scoring margin.

- Clippers collapse again? (can't wait to see it)

I think they'll win 55-60 games and lose in the second round ... again.

- OKC missing the playoffs? (wouldn't surprise me at all)

Westbrook will go for Oscar Robertson's triple double record and fall short, but earn a lot of MVP votes.  They'll win 45ish games and lose in the 1st round.

- Is Harrison Barnes the franchise player? (I like him, so hope he does well in Big D)

Nope.  At best he's a decent replacement for Parsons.

- Are NY Knicks a playoff team and can they stay healthy? (Maybe and no)

Nope.

- What are they doing in Orlando?

Making desperate moves for a playoff berth and failing.  Roster is too skewed toward interior defense, not nearly enough creation, shooting, scoring.

- Is Jason Kidd gonna get kicked outta Milwaukee? (Yes!)

Naw, they're patient there and will have a bounce back season.

- Are Utah, Minny and Portland new forces to be reckon with? (Not sure, but I like those teams)

No, but they'll be fun.

- How much will it take for Rondo to punch Wade in his face? (Hope only two games lol)

No punching, just a half-billion withering stares and awful body language all season long, until both guys shut it down in March / April with phantom injuries.

- o/c are the Nets gonna suck? (already included in my prayers)

Yes, but never as much as we want them to suck.

- is Brandon Ingram a waay to early in this league? (think he is)

He'll have some nice games, but overall he'll be raw.  Deng will play lots of minutes.

- SAS WILL NEVER BE THE SAME WITHOUT DUNCAN? (apsolutely!)

Never the same perhaps, but they'll win 50+ games and have a shot to make the WCF, again.

- Boogie gets traded before the trade deadline to you know who? (yup)

I think they'll hold onto desperate hopes for the playoffs all season long, trade him next summer.

- Houston averages most points in the league, Harden wins the scoring title and they miss the playoffs? (very possible)

My guess is Westbrook gets the scoring title, but I agree with you otherwise.  They'll have a top 3 offense and a bottom 3 defense.

- Can AD stay healthy and play whole 82 games? (hell no)

No, but he'll play 70+ and be in the MVP conversation.

- Does Phoenix trade Knight before deadline to make room for Booker? (yes)

Naw, they'll just install him as sixth man and he'll continue his trajectory as Lou Williams 2.0.

They are gonna be the best team in the league, but this season isnt the foregone conclusion people are making it out to be

- Clippers collapse again? (can't wait to see it)

I think the expectation is lower this year. They will perform to the expectation. Clearly behind San Antonio and Golden State. 2nd round loss. I think Portland and Utah could beat them.

- OKC missing the playoffs? (wouldn't surprise me at all)

Theyll finish in the 7-10 range. We will learn a lot about Russ

- Is Harrison Barnes the franchise player? (I like him, so hope he does well in Big D)

Not a chance

- Are NY Knicks a playoff team and can they stay healthy? (Maybe and no)

Last 2 years they would have been but theres so much midrange talent in the East. I actually think they'll be healthier than most.

- What are they doing in Orlando?

Really need to start converting talent into wins. Ive got no idea.

- Is Jason Kidd gonna get kicked outta Milwaukee? (Yes!)

I expect the GA at PG to be a disaster. He gets fired. Too much talent to not win.

- Are Utah, Minny and Portland new forces to be reckon with? (Not sure, but I like those teams)

Minny no, the other two, yes.

- How much will it take for Rondo to punch Wade in his face? (Hope only two games lol)

They'll get along

- o/c are the Nets gonna suck? (already included in my prayers)

Yes but wont finish dead last. They will hustle their way to a very bad but not horrendous record

- is Brandon Ingram a waay to early in this league? (think he is)

He will be bad, have some flashes.

- SAS WILL NEVER BE THE SAME WITHOUT DUNCAN? (apsolutely!)

Yup, could see them fading a bit without him. Team isnt as good as last year.

- Boogie gets traded before the trade deadline to you know who? (yup)

Hope so, but doubt is

- Houston averages most points in the league, Harden wins the scoring title and they miss the playoffs? (very possible)

Nope. Golden State scores more. I think they squeeze in as the 8 seed.

- Can AD stay healthy and play whole 82 games? (hell no)

No but I bet he plays ~70

- Does Phoenix trade Knight before deadline to make room for Booker? (yes)

Either him or Bledsoe. Hopefully they dont trade him for picks. I believe Phoenix is a Brooklyn threat.

Please join in. Thx.

-What does Atlanta look like, having moved from Al + Teague to Schroeder + Howard?

-Is Rubio traded to make more sense of that roster?

-Is a Philly big finally moved?

-Who pulls a midseason tank?

some other things on my mind:

-Can Beal stay healthy and justify the max? Also, can Washington return to form? They are a year removed from a 49 win season where they looked like the second most dangerous team in the East prior to a Wall injury

-Does Detroit make a leap?

-How does MKG's return effect Charlotte?

-Who will have the worst record in the league? (Nets have the worst team in the league on paper, but no real reason not to play hard. Im guessing Philly is the worst, but it isn't a runaway like last year.)
Players do not give a [dang] about draft picks. When teams quit at the end of the season it is not because they are eying a draft pick.

Playing to lose is done by GMs and to a much lesser extent, coaches. Brooklyn has no real reason to sit a guy like Lin down the stretch, where a team like Phoenix is much more likely to sit Bledsoe. However, Brooklyn had no reason not to play hard last year and they lost the last 10 games and benched Lopez.

Players dont tank. Simple as that.

Sorry I guess I worded it wrong. Obviously players even on awful teams play to get recognized for a contract more.

I should have said their management has no reason to pull the plug until rhe last ten games like with lopez. This is in comparison to say philly sitting some of their prospects when they get minorly injured if they are near the bottom to ensure they get a high pick again.

good points. but what will ultimately win the day for the celtics' draft positioning will be the stunning lack of talent and cohesion on the nets. they simply are a very bad team and their best player is always an injury risk.

i see top 5 pick for sure next year for the celtics.

- That team in Oakland, how it's gonna look? (hope they don't mesh well and it doesn't workout well for them. I know slim chances...)
The thing is that despite cap restrictions, they managed to put together a really good bench.
They should again finish with the best record. And although I hope they lose in the end, they are the favourite.
As for chemistry, Durant is so versatile offensively...; and Kerr is a great coach, he'll find a way to make things work out

- Clippers collapse again? (can't wait to see it)
won't surprise me. Doc has done a great job mishandling talent there

- OKC missing the playoffs? (wouldn't surprise me at all)
If they had another coach, I'd be ready to bet they will be a lottery team. But Donnovan is nifty, I think they will make it.

- Is Harrison Barnes the franchise player? (I like him, so hope he does well in Big D)
Maybe in a couple of years. IMO this is Nowitzki's team no  no matter how much he declines

- Are NY Knicks a playoff team and can they stay healthy? (Maybe and no)
I will be surprised if they make the playoffs

- What are they doing in Orlando?
They no longer wanted Oladipo as they preferred Fournier. The trouble is Ibaka is a one year rental.
They should make the playoffs: good coach and a nice mix of young talents and experienced players in the roster.

- Is Jason Kidd gonna get kicked outta Milwaukee? (Yes!)
It would be great for Milwaukee (players and fans) but I doubt it.

- Are Utah, Minny and Portland new forces to be reckon with? (Not sure, but I like those teams)
Portland: sure is. Might be a top 4 seed in the West.
Utah: should struggle to make the playoffs.
Minny: They should be a force in a couple of years. I doubt they make the playoffs next season.

- How much will it take for Rondo to punch Wade in his face? (Hope only two games lol)

- o/c are the Nets gonna suck? (already included in my prayers)
Almost guaranteed to be a bottom 5 team.
Roster wise arguably the worst team in the NBA.

- is Brandon Ingram a waay to early in this league? (think he is)
He lacks muscle but he has the skills.

- SAS WILL NEVER BE THE SAME WITHOUT DUNCAN? (apsolutely!)
I think they are ready for the transition. They should be a top-3 team next season. Their ability to stay at the top is remarkable.

- Boogie gets traded before the trade deadline to you know who? (yup)
No clue

- Houston averages most points in the league, Harden wins the scoring title and they miss the playoffs? (very possible)
No clue about average team points and playoffs. But yes, I also think Harden is the favourite for the scoring title.

- Can AD stay healthy and play whole 82 games? (hell no)
It's very rare that a big plays all 82 games. Both Kelly and Amir had injuries last year for instance.

- Does Phoenix trade Knight before deadline to make room for Booker? (yes)
IMO they can coexist offensively. More concerned about D.

Please join in. Thx.

You have lots of questions mate.  I tried to answer them in the quote (in bold).

Edit: forgot to answer the first question

How bad will the Nets be?
How many teams will be sellers by deadline?
Which Superstars will be injured this year?
Would 76ers dare tank another year?
Which team will be the worst?
What FA signing becomes a train wreck?
Which player wins mvp?

How bad will the Nets be?
Really bad. Certainly bottom 5, prolly bottom 3.
How many teams will be sellers by deadline?
i wish i knew
Which Superstars will be injured this year?
ibid
Would 76ers dare tank another year?
sure
Which team will be the worst?
Nets are a strong candidate. Phoenix and LAL might do the trick too.
What FA signing becomes a train wreck?
Wade-Rondo could be trouble. Not because of the rumours that they will have a fight or anything, but because these two and Butler are ball dominant players who are not very good shooters. They do not mix well together.
Howard can always create trouble, even in an otherwise quiet team such as Atlanta.
If Beal gets injured, Washington fans will go ballistic.

As a side note, I still do not get how Mozgov got a 16 mill for 4 years deal, and Hibbert a 5 mill for 1 year. In 2013-14 Hibbert was considered top-5 in his position. Anyway, not saying I think the contracts are wrong, I just find this reversal to be noteworthy.

Which player wins mvp?
Lucky guess: KD
