I don't like this bring jaylen along slowly
Especially when he has physical tools and enough skill to contribute off the bench
I would like him to be playing behind crowder in the depth chart

I think green is a reclamation project
As well as ainge seeing good value as he didn't get much attention in free agency as he started the season good but then kind of trailed off
Maybe as more of a vet presence as ainge expects us to go further into the playoffs this year than just a 1st round exit like previously

I don't see Green getting too much time on team unless someone is moved in trade.  Gerald can only play sf with all the guards we have.  His defense isn't the best but he can fill lane  and hit 3's.  So crowder is starter then its between him, brown and even jj for minutes.  I think brown is not the sort of guy to be deer in head lights.  I'd say his rebounding and defense will be better than geralds right off bat, kid has a nice handle and seems to have good court awareness.

ps-can't help but remember green in miami at some hotel on drugs or something acting crazy

jaylen had trouble finishing at summer league but i just listened to locked on and jaylen and smart are practicing everyday with coaches from celts out on west coast
 really competing and marcus sharing with jaylen -this is three times a day

here is what i like about green 10yrs of finishing, a 36% 3 point shooter with a recent season of 40%,a compatible relationship with isaiah,
 where they were 2nd leading scoring duo in league
greens length and quickness off two feet and his ability to adjust and absorb contact
greens more of a slasher than a bulldozer and because teams have to close and respect his three he can get to hoop
horford was the big deal but green may turn out to be a heist our 2nd team is going to need some scoring help after losing turner-
as to his freak out in miami, it easy to do down there
green got a backseat to youth and winslow but it took time for winslow to adjust-the celts now have that same luxury-it would be nice to start out hot in early season allowing jaylen to learn and adjust , maybe slowly was wrong word
i watched so much of greens tapes and like how he gets up in confined spaces and takes off at angles and his mid air adjustment,he just seems more flexible
in the end green is just another weapon to be used by brad and isaiah/rozier/smart

by the way does westbrook have a no trade clause,isn't this what everybody wanted if they were to trade for westbrook-

This team right now is not competing for a title jaylen should see much more minutes than green to develop him as he is a future piece of this franchise. Gerald green is 30 yr old whose shooting is the definition of streaky he does not replace evan turners production in a million years.

Green can possibly be a really good piece for us. If playing well, I feel he will soak up a good amount of turners minutes while bringing a different skillset to the team. (Smart should be overseeing turners 6th man ball handling role).

Im not worried bout Brown's minutes. If Green is to good to not be playing, I see Brown  just slidiing to the 2 Guard position more frequently  and we end up bringing Rozier in much slower then projected. I doubt we sacrifice Jaylen's minutes before Terry's. Marcus and Isiah can handle the majority of those minutes, Bradley and brown  for the 2, Green and Crowder for 3, Green and Brown can be swapped from 2-3. If we plan to win 55 games! I think we may need Green to be on his "A game" or something close to it. He and Marcus will  anchor our 2nd Unit.
