Per the Vertical:

“I feel kind of disrespected that people keep using the term sacrifice to describe me and describe us. We all want to see each other do well. But I’m not sacrificing ****, because my game isn’t changing. I’m still going to try to get buckets, hit shots, come off screens. I want to win and have a fun time every game we play.

I saw this quote from Klay Thompson, and I thought it was really interesting. I really, really question the fit and chemistry of this Warriors team. I truly don't think that there will be enough shots to go around, and I don't think that these four stars in the prime of their careers are ready to do what it takes to sacrifice individually and fit together. We've seen with both of Lebron's Big 3 teams in Miami and Cleveland that it necessarily takes sacrifices to make it work, which takes some time to realize and figure out, and quotes like this just do not seem to support the idea that this Warriors team realizes the type of sacrifices they'll now have to make to win and fit together. No longer will Thompson and Curry get to just throw up ridiculous, contested threes anymore without upsetting two other stars in Durant and Green, who has already complained about his offensive role on the team on multiple occasions.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

He won't have to sacrifice shots.  They've been practicing during the Olympic exhibitions shooting contested 30-footers 7 seconds into the shot clock.  Get 120 possessions a game, and no one has to take fewer shots!

Hey Klay:

Better yet:

And finally, see:

And:

Finally:

EVERYONE in those pics sacrificed SOMETHING. They are all NBA Champions. All of these players are HOFers or will be there one day.

Maybe...just maybe - "HE" won't have to sacrifice anything, but I'm certain that Draymond or perhaps even Steph WILL.

Get onboard, Klay.

EDIT: Forgot THESE guys:

I think Green and Thompson will be the primary ones to sacrifice shots and touches, too, especially Green, who will most likely only get opportunistic points at this point, too.

What's the over/under on fga and 3pfga for Thompson a game this year? He was at 17.3 fga and 8.1 3pfga this past year. I think he becomes close to Allen in Boston, who never had more than 13.5 fga and 6.2 3pfga during his tenure here.

TP. And he's certainly the Allen/Bosh/Love of the group, who all HIGHLY sacrificed their games, if not even worse and the 4th option behind Green.

i agree with this for sure.

If they play right, then everyone's averages would come down.

I think they'll be fine

If lebrone was joining the warriors then they'd have to worry

I'd be surprised if they weren't fully clicking by mid season. Like all time great team clicking.

I mean... They already were all time great clicking...

The only problem could be if KD doesn't gel since he was in an iso centric offense. But i think he'll be more than fine.

Green will be p---ed if they aren't clicking and HIS numbers are way down. Not that he cares about numbers, but if they go on a losing streak and he hasn't been all that involved, he'll say something stupid.... Or kick KD in the nuts
I trust Danny Ainge

People really want this team to implode. His game isn't really going to change; it's not like Klay needs the ball to score, we're not talking Lebron/Wade, Lebron/Irving where there's two ball dominant guys. GSW runs an offense predicated on movement - that means, running off of screen, pin downs, 3's in transition. Not much different than what he does now. If anything, he's going to be more open than he ever has in his career so whatever he gives up in field goals, he can make up for an efficiency.

SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan
PF: Giannis Antetokounmpo/Robert Covington
C: Kristaps Porzingis/Bobby Portis/James Wiseman

If he comes off the bench, he may not need to. The team added Durant, but they also hlgot rid of their playmaker off the bench. I'd bet that he ends up taking fewer shots, though, and continues to start
I'm bitter.

Iggy and Livingston are both still there.

I still can't believe kd signed there. He was one of my favorite character guys and he has no spine.

ya. It's gutless

He has the right to go where he wants, but his character will be judged by that decision.

Leaving the team you just lost to in heartbreaking fashion.

Literally "if you can't beat them, joing them"
