Big year for KO.

Please, god, also make it the last year, lol ;D.

Why? He may not be dominant or a star, but KO is very good.

At what, lol ;D?  Shooting 3s when he's able to stay out of his own way?

Basketball.
TP.

I seriously question why you're even a Celtics fan. All that I ever see you do is sarcastically crap all over our players and glorify weird, unproven prospects like Thon Maker or Poeltl, even suggesting we trade Smart to get the number 12 pick to take Poeltl or something...

Yeah, it makes more sense to start KO than to start Amir. Amir is only going to play 20-25mpg anyway, and Jerebko and Olynyk can't really play together so you don't want Amir spending too many of his minutes next to Horford.

I need to see Kelly do more consistently, what he does sporadically. (besides get hurt) Kelly needs to prove he can be a reliable, aggressive, everyday, contributor. Especially before being considered a starter.

Statistically, I'm pretty sure the offense functioned at a higher level with KO in there, at least until he was injured.

Jerebko is a better player than KO.  If Kelly starts for this team we're in trouble.  All he's good at is shooting 3's.

I had a notion that jerebko would look really good next to horford.
He's not the best at anything, but he does everything, and he brings it every game.

the two would be an agile and tough defensive pairing.

That's got to be the first time that the words 'agile' and 'tough' have ever been used to describe KO, lol ;D. TP for the laugh ;D.

Read it again Chuckles.

Basketball.

When he plays in Toronto and/or in front of his parents, maybe, but he's simply too foul prone, a poor rebounder, and can't score in the post nor block shots.  I don't care for people saying that he was a 'wimp' or some sexist statement equivalent of 'girly man', like what happened during the playoffs, but he's just not that good, imo.  Even Swedish meatballs has surpassed him in the rotation.  Ugh.  I never understood the selection of Nolynyk and he's quite frustrating to watch, just go look over the game threads from this past season if you don't believe me, lol ;D. The only time where it looked like we might have had something in him was during the final 3 games of his rookie year, so naturally, everyone thought that he would improve in 14-15, only to see him revert to form, unfortunately :-\. Sigh.  Ainge drafts the weirdest players, imo.  A seven footer in KO with t-rex arms, undersized power forwards who may or may not have weight problems, combo guards who can't shoot, and dudes like James Young who don't work hard.  It's like the Island of Misfit Toys of the NBA, lol ;D.

Here are the last 3 games of Nolynyk's rookie year, btw -

Jerebko should start but KO is improving and could take over.

The bounce is real.

I don't expect Olynyk to be ready for the beginning of the season. Accordingly, I expect Cousins to start :)

(Actually, I think Amir, Jerebko, Smart, and Brown will all get a shot at the role in the pre-season.  My money is on Amir, but I'm rooting for Smart and Brown.)

I was active in about 75 regular season game threads this year, and your opinion is nowhere near the consensus you think it is. Most believe that Olynyk, while maddeningly inconsistent, is a very talented and intelligent player, who takes our offense to a different level through spacing, passing, and shot-making. Maybe you're suffering from recency bias since KO was terrible post-injury, but the idea that Olynyk is a bad player is just plain false.

Smart at the 3 with Crowder at the 4?

Yes.

I think that's the end of game unit even with Olynyk healthy.

When confident and not being soft/injured KO is very good.

Yes.

Hmm, interesting. Though we'll surely see that lineup a lot at the end of certain games, I don't necessarily think that's a sustainable starting unit. For example, how would that unit guard Cleveland? I think that's just too small with a unit that already was small and pretty bad at rebounding to begin with.

If you want the extra defense and versatility in the starting lineup, why don't you add JJ instead of Smart, which gives you more size, length, and shooting?
