Oh Captain, my Captain!

If he's planning on retiring next year, I'd want him to come home to Boston ala KG to Minny. It'd be great to see him in green again and I bet we could use him in the last 5 minutes in a tight playoff game vs. Cleveland  ;D

If there happens to be a Blake Griffin trade PP has to be included right? It just seems like it'd have to happen! I would love to see Paul back, I just don't think we can have our expectations too high about his play.

Agreed on this but wouldn't it be better (for us) if Pierce just retired and we agreed to pay him handsomely as an assistant coach to replace some of his lost salary?

It would work even better for him financially if LA bought him out.

He'd be giving up a lot of money but he strikes me as a guy who hasn't squandered his earnings, and who values other things.

I think Doc values him in that same regard, plus he could win a chip with LA and it is his "home" town.   I think if we added KD he might have come back.   Because KD, AL, IT and PP would have been a team that could be the Cavs if we were healthy and playing hot!

Honestly, if I've learned anything, it's that these kinds of things are not taught.  If it were that simple, everyone would have them in their arsenal. 

These kinds of skills are more inherent than people think.

I saw Paul in two games last season on the tube. It's time for Paul to retire as a player IMO. There's just not a lot left in the tank, even compared to only a few years ago...never mind his prime.

I'd love to have him back in some position maybe in the front office, or as a coach of some kind. One thing for sure, he has to stay involved with C's in some way.
