He sat out most of Vegas.  It's the award for Vegas, not Utah and Vegas combined.  It's pretty simple.

Forsberg's explanation was Rozier only played 3 of 5 games.

There is no mention of who picked this team. They did a lousy job. Nuf said.

Yeah I'm not too concerned about it. I think anybody who watched the two summer leagues that he played in -- most importantly Danny, Brad, and other teams' GMs -- saw that he was among the best players out there.

The most eye opening things for me: handled the ball against full court pressure (mostly) with success and confidence, and shot the ball well from distance. He also slashed effectively, but we kind of already knew he could do that. I'm pumped.

If Rozier continues this momentum into preseason and the early regular season it will be huge. Either it will mean that we'll have a reliable ball handler and scorer on the second unit in the absence of Turner, or that Danny has one more enticing trade chip that teams will be forced to consider in trade proposals.

Plus, if Booker had played all the games he would have been selected over Terry.

I found the awards puzzling too but one thing is for sure: we won't be debating this a year from now.  Or even a week.

Simple~  He did not play in enough games.   Or he would have been first team.

I don't really care about some arbitrary awards for the Summer League.

All I know is that TR fairly dominated his competition when he played, which is what you would hope for when he's effectively a college senior this year. I hope his aggressive successful play continues when the games count. If it does there will need to be a lot of apologies issued by some of the members at CB who have been calling him a bust since the night he was drafted.
Jaylen Brown will be an All Star in the next 5 years.

TP - I never considered him a bust, but was disappointed in the selection. He seems to have achieved at a much higher level than anticipated.

I found it.  40.9%!!  They are going to try and market this kid even if the numbers do NOT support it!!!  That is today's NBA!!!

The 40.9% is a little misleading as there was at least one game where he decided going in he was just going to shoot jumpers knowing that he needs to work on them.  He basically was using Summer League the way pitchers use the beginning of spring training and and working on things rather than just trying to go out and dominate.  Don't get me wrong, shooting is not this kids strong point by any means.  But it's everything else he does that is going to make him a star.

No offense to the OP or to anyone else who cares about summer league, but I wouldn't give this another thought. It's virtually meaningless, just like summer league. What these guys do on a real NBA court is what matters.
