It was also sorta depressing watching him "play" last year.

Im in college, so KG and his era were kinda the stars I grew up with. When I started watching these were the guys. I hadnt really noticed, but Paul Pierce shared this video on his facebook like a year ago and I just watched it now and its crazy how that whole era of guys is moving on.

I like the video. Ill never forget this era of players.

If we make two huge trades where we clear out multiple roster spots. I'd love to see him back here for spot minutes off the end of the bench, along with Pierce. One last season. The greatest garbage time squad of all time.

From what I read KG wants to be a minority owner with the Twolves, which may have been discussed when he waived his no trade clause going back there. I assume the motivation for him to play now is to work with the young guys to build a good culture for his future business. He also spoke about loyalty recently and waiting to see if it's returned by the organization, so maybe the ownership deal is what is holding up his return?

We all saw it coming, but man...Tim Duncan and possibly KG all in one summer.
and Kobe too just at the end of the season. I am not depressed though, actually happy to celebrate the great careers of Kobe, Duncan and KG. All among the greatest of all time and we had the honor to witness these legends.

Wolves have a chance to be pretty good.  Thibs is going to make a difference there.  I imagine KG will stick around as some kind of assistant if he retires.  You gotta figure he and Thibs have a decent relationship.

Rhyso is correct, KG will be a part owner and part of the FO I believe. He is really going to help KAT.

I have found it sad to watch KG play not at top level.  Though this was great:

KG, Duncan and Kobe retire this year together and they go into the hall together, right? That'd be a hell of a class...
We're the ones we've been waiting for.

If this is the end for him I wish him well.

Words cannot describe my excitement and disbelief of us getting him in BOS.

Perhaps his very last GREAT game was in GREEN.

KG Is the reason I fell in love with Celtics basketball. I started watching nba right around the year before he got traded to Boston. when he did get moved just watching that fire he brought to the team still gives me chills to this day. KG LEGEND
