Jaylen Brown has had a solid Summer League and I thought it would be interesting to see peoples predictions on how good a rookie season Brown will have, if you want we can guess his season stat line too for TP

I have no idea how much playing time he'll get this year. If he were playing for a bad team like Phoenix or Brooklyn I think he'd average 15-16 ppg. But his rookie year may not be very impressive given that he's behind Crowder.

But my prediction (in my sig) about his overall career still stands.
Jaylen Brown will be an All Star in the next 5 years.

I have a feeling his minutes will all depend on his performance, if he plays well enough he could easily become our 6th man, playing 18 min in a similar way that Harden was brought on in OKC to terrorise tired defenders/second unit.

He's just scratching the surface of what he can do.  I think he'll have a similar rookie season to Marcus Smart in that he'll make an impact and look like he belongs in the nba, but will suffer from inconsistency offensively.

I voted Rondo.  I think he'll continue to show flashes of brilliance, but overall he'll have lots of turnovers and a poor FG%.  He'll provide some spark and bring the house down on occasion, so nobody will be disappointed, but I'm not sure he'll have a big impact on winning this year.

7ppg, 3reb, 1 ast, 1 stl, 35% fg, 25% 3fg, ~70% ft

Kelly played 20 mpg his rookie year, Marcus played 27.  Im guessing the 3 pick in the draft is going to see minutes, and probably a lot of them.

Brad has no problem at all playing rookies.  He sometimes over plays them, j/k... but he was playing RJ in the playoffs.

Brown is definitely going to see plenty of court time behind Crowder.  I would say 15mpg as a complete guess.  I dont even think he has to earn it practice, it's just smart for a franchise to be giving a 3 pick plenty of minutes to give him a chance to become what you hope he will.

A rich man's version of last year's Jae Crowder, as a rookie! What a player.

I think if you gave Brown 34 minutes a game as a rookie, he'd wind up being as productive as a middle class 2016 Crowder...in other words, the same. Same stats as Crowder, the same impact as Crowder. Crowder is way more saavy, but Brown has way more athleticism. It'd balance out. And that'd get him ROY votes.

TP very true, I think the only difference between Kelly, Marcus & Jaylen is that we are contending this year, but I think Brown's ability to get to the line is huge advantage for him.

Yeah I was very shocked when i saw the truth's rookie stats, he was such a legend, what is even more surprising is that 3 point percentage was his second highest season average in his career. Can't believe he got beat out for rookie of the year by Carter.

Seems like it will depend on whether he can cope with playing NBA defense.

And summer league gives exactly zero information about that.

I'm hopeful though. He did what he should do as a #3 pick - spend a good chunk of summer league looking on another level somehow, in his case physically and attacking the hoop.

Marcus Smart

Marcus Smart rookie season: 27 min, 7.8 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 3.1 apg, 1.5 spg

I think if Jaylen got those minutes he would do better IMO, Brown could easily get over 10 ppg and 5 rpg.
