I think if none of this actually happens, this guy should be made an example of. Have hundreds of people tweet negative things about his credibility. Maybe it will stop people from pulling stuff out of you know where in the future.

There's zero chance this will make any difference.

For one, as he astutely pointed out himself, he has no reputation to lose. If his credibility as a source of Celtics and NBA rumors is completely shot, he can move on and not bat an eye. This is fundamentally different from someone who works on the Celtics beat and whose livelihood depends on his credibility.

Then, it's painfully obvious that people's attention span is 140 characters -- literally and figuratively. This whole thing will be forgotten in 2 days, whether or not any of these trades actually happens. Then we can do this again weeks or months from now and it will fold out exactly the same way.

That guy is probably a pretty good car salesman, though -- I'll give him that.

From a pure speculative stand point, I wonder how this guys work life is going right now. He has to work with a few Celtics fans. Is he just making stuff up to amuse his work buddies? Or when this all doesn't happen will they be extremely p---ed at the guy.

He seems to spend an extraordinary amount of time trolling people after he floats something, so I think he's just doing it to get a kick.

Of course, the story has to change occasionally, otherwise you run out of trolling material.

He's not that good, though. Note that Bradley for Griffin was practically a done deal with a pending announcement, and now he's backpedalling talking about how "negotiations" work.
