Nets Vegas win total

This is gonna make some people's day I hope. I had some time to kill some dabbled around on a popular sportsbook to see projected win totals. The nets are at 17.5, the 76ers 23.5 and the lakers at 29. So according to Vegas we are handsomely projected to have the number one loterry slot at this time.

I think the order is right, but I think the Lakers are closer to 25 and the 76ers closer to 20. Did they have Phoenix's projections, too? I bet they're closer to the Nets numbers.

I think the order is right, but I think the Lakers are closer to 25 and the 76ers closer to 20. Did they have Phoenix's projections, too? I bet they're closer to the Nets numbers.

Unfortunately I did not see them. At this stage it is just the teams with the highest interest level. Golden state was at 67.5

Just read that D Saric is coming over this year for Philly. I could see Philly winning 30 games. Lakers finally getting the Kobe show off of there back and that will only help them. Sac and Brooklyn will be fight for the worst record.

Just for reference, this is about as low as Vegas will ever go on a team. The 76ers could have been a smidge lower last season, but beyond that 22 -28 wins is a lot more common for bad teams.

They did sign Anthony Bennett and Randy Foye today, so maybe Vegas will bump them to 18 wins now...  Or maybe down to 17?

I'd probably bet the over on 17.5 right now but, like I mentioned in another thread, they are one Lopez injury away from looking sub 15 wins.

The Scola and Foye signings don't really make much sense to me for either side. They are both on the back 9 of their career. Scola is probably on the 18th hole. Neither of them is going to really help them win games. In Scola's case he might help them lose games. However, you are going to have them taking away minutes from their younger players (or at least a project like Bennett). If they had absolutely no veterans on their team I would be a big advocate of there signings. However, they are already have Lopez and Lin and a few others guys with a number of years under the belt. What is the point? Also what is the point for Scola and Foye? Was this just their only way to stay in the league?

I understand the Bennett signing, take a flier on a guy and see what you might have, not like they are competing this year anyways.  I do not understand the Foye or Scola signings at all, both terrible defenders and don't offer much on the other end.

these are all good points. perhaps the nets hope to showcase foye and scola and see if they perform well enough to generate interest from other teams. then trade them for anything of value, such as draft picks. just a guess by me.

instead, i would have simply emptied out the top players from the dleague, let them get minutes, and see if a gem can be uncovered.

but either way, the celtics draft pick is looking very, very good.
