According to sources, Celtics were 99% done with the deal for Westbrook. Unfortunately Ainge wanted to send over Hunter, yet Presti demanded Jerebko. Both sides reached an impasse, and discussions will not continue. @ChrissBroussard @multiplesauces @manymultiple

LOL. Does anyone believe Jerebko was a deal killer? This one is less believable than the original rumor.

Nothing to see here, Bulpett just shot this down. There have been no Westbrook or Griffin talks in a long time. However, no mention whatsoever of Philly and their bigs.

Bulpett spends more time shooting down rumors than he ever uncovers. I don't know how much he knows about what's going on. He should, but he rarely has any kind of information he's willing to share in advance.

What's surprising is how often these secondary source rumors beat all the beat writers to the punch. I recall the Hanley Ramirez signing with the Red Sox last year was broken on twitter by an unknown--well before the mainstream had the story.
That's because a lot less out there than you're lead to believe.

Jerebko?  Really?  I would pay for his plane ticket.

Pretty sure this was a fake tweet, because there's nothing on Broussard's official Twitter account. The @multiplesauces tag gives it away, too lol
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

It's clearly a joke. He's citing Broussard.

Remember when Ainge was trying to deal KG to the Clippers, and it was leaked Doc was also involved as coach? Pure media rumors.  Stern promptly blocked any deal with the Clippers, based on hearsay info in the media. Stern's last nail in the Celtics coffin. There were others before that.

If this has any legs, then either Smart or Bradley is gone. As big of a fan as I am of Smart, I'd rather let him go. Smart-BKN pick-another future first rounder-salary filler seems like a fair package.

How much salary do we need to send out? Do we need to match or do we have space?
