Nothing to see here, Bulpett just shot this down. There have been no Westbrook or Griffin talks in a long time. However, no mention whatsoever of Philly and their bigs.

I mean, again, this doesn't contradict anything in the actual report from Beck. He never said that the C's were actively talking with any of these players. Rather, he just reported what he's hearing from other GMs around the league, which most people agree with.

And it makes sense why he wouldn't be having discussions about Westbrook yet due to both his position of play being a strong suit of ours and his contract situation. Though Bulpett said there hasn't been any Griffin talks lately, as you mentioned he didn't say anything about the Philly bigs OR Cousins. I think Danny would much prefer something like a Cousins trade due to our current makeup, so it'd make sense that he'd be looking to upgrade our big spots first than a position of strength for us with a sketchy contract situation.

Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

Also, notice that the two guys he mentioned that we haven't had talks about recently in Westbrook and Griffin are both potential free agents next year.

Danny Ainge is not crazy.  Gary Tanguay is lol. He has us dumping our entire team for Westbrook with no extension and saying he thinks Danny is going for it.  Gary is crazy.

That again is Tanguay's own speculation with no proof. He does this all the time. Westbrook is the flavor of the week.

I'm not saying something couldn't happen here eventually, but right now it makes as much sense as any other rumor that didn't happen.

I think guys like Tanguay and Beck know they are misleading people based on pure speculation, and even that Ainge wouldn't make the trades that they are speculating he would make. They just have no info and they need to produce buzz and rumors to get people to tune in and discuss and get ratings, so they go with it.

Oh I agree.  People lack integrity.  It doesn't matter how you make your money as long as you do these days.  People lie, cheat steal whatever.  That isn't intelligence to me either.  They don't think how they effect other people.  Danny looked really annoyed when he was being interviewed during summer league because the reporter was not thinking about what he was asking him.  People are ****s.

I don't think Gary even knows he is doing this. It's just who he is.  Corporations love it because it draws ratings and is marketing to the lowest common denominator. It's pathetic and sad really.

NOt one question DA was being asked actually took any thought at all.  He looked annoyed.  A lot of these people don't even do their jobs.  As long as it's money in peoples pockets they don't care.

People with actual integrity are doing other things in this world.

I honestly can't stand Tanguay.  I don't pretend to like him either because I don't.   he could get hit by a truck tomorrow and I'd think it was a good thing.

If we talked to them about Westbrook it would have been after Durant left... so that means we talked to them within the last 2 weeks.

Hey that's quite some time, a couple weeks ago. It's an entire fortnight! It's half of a whole moon cycle! It's over a dozen fruitfly lifetimes!

Bulpett spends more time shooting down rumors than he ever uncovers. I don't know how much he knows about what's going on. He should, but he rarely has any kind of information he's willing to share in advance.

What's surprising is how often these secondary source rumors beat all the beat writers to the punch. I recall the Hanley Ramirez signing with the Red Sox last year was broken on twitter by an unknown--well before the mainstream had the story.

I'm told that a Westbrook trade to Boston is veeeery close to being finalized 👀 if both teams can agree on details...

That would be funny if this turns out to be true. Then Doc gives his pal Danny Griffin and Pierce.
The face of the team changes, and the Celtics are contending with the Cavs for the Championship.

Who is NBA quick report?
“Being a Celtic is, every decision you make is about the team. Every cut you make is about the team. Every pass you make is about the team. You take yourself out of it. It’s not for everyone. If you don’t want to win, don’t want to play team basketball, and it’s more about you then you’re probably not a Celtic." Doc 2010

Any trade requires both teams to agree on details. That's a pretty idiotic statement.

Well, you could also say it's a pretty accurate statement.
