Not a fan of Westbrook at all.  And if they are going to trade for him, doesn't IT have to be in the move?   They are basically the same player.

No they are not. RW is better than IT.

On both ends.  RW can be kind of a hog but so can IT. When you are desperate for a bucket,  you can give it to RW and move out the way. IT needs 2-3 picks to be able to get off his shots in tough situations

if that's all it took and IT doesn't make a stink about going back to 6th man (which I honestly doubt at this point), I'd be very interested provided Westbrook agrees to an extension as part of the deal.  that's a hefty price to pay if we only get him for that last year of his current contract.

OKC would play him to stay somewhat and to get an all-star in return and then trade IT again for more value.

Its not a sure thing they'd ask for him but it makes some sense from OKCs perspective.

I just don't see it happening. Not with IT here and not when he can bounce next summer. Also don't see him wanting to be in Boston with his off the court interests with fashion etc. He also isn't really a fit for Stevens system.

The thing is, Westbrook could mean a complete over hall of the team. I'd assume the OKC would want young players and picks and then the best course after trading for Westbrook would be to move Isaiah.

Doesn't make any sense, he wouldn't fit with IT and he can (and probably will) bolt next summer, why mortgage the future for a bad fit on a one-year rental?

There's no way they make a trade for Westbrook without a guarantee he'll sign, right? I know that the Celtics believe that once they get someone here, they'll fall in love with the city and will happily re-sign, but that's no guarantee. I don't know what makes Westbrook tick, but hopefully the Celtics have more than, "you'll love it here in Boston! The fans are like no other!"

This scenario is my least favorite of all the rumors, but how can I say anything bad about the Celtics being able to bring in a top 10 player?

Well OKC can't tank for a quick rebuild long as he is on the team.

They could still get a 7-8' seed.

His contract too.  I think he is underrated as an asset because of it. No one talks about trading him.  Not that I'm all for trading him (I have grown to like him a lot), but IT could be added to a contending type team at his salary and be a big addition through a trade.

just watched the 2 min vid...must say I'm less than enthused at Westbrook, but will admit that he does make the C's more dynamic and he's a competitor. I'd much rather in this order:

• Cousins
• Westbook
• Blake Griffin

who knows? maybe the celtics will get all three of them.
