Exclusive: Sources tell @HowardBeck a Russell Westbrook trade could happen sooner than later ble.ac/29HvIQ7

There are other 'lesser' sources that say all signs point to him going to Boston.

Although the source of this is much more legit.

just watched the 2 min vid...must say I'm less than enthused at Westbrook, but will admit that he does make the C's more dynamic and he's a competitor. I'd much rather in this order:

  • Cousins
  • Westbook
  • Blake Griffin

I can't deny his talent, but I don't know if I would want to use our assets on him. He is too ball dominant and shot dominant and not enough of a distributor for this team. IT could be a great weapon as a 6th man, so I'm not worried about that, but Westbrook would kill our offensive flow.

Agreed, Russ would not work with Brad's offense.  Let's keeping developing current core and draft Harry Giles next summer.

Not a fan of Westbrook at all.  And if they are going to trade for him, doesn't IT have to be in the move?   They are basically the same player.

Westbrook would be the best player on the team by a mile.  he solves a shooting and go-to scorer deficiency that we have.

I have little doubt that Brad will figure out the best way to use Westbrook if Danny acquires him.  The lesser players on the roster can adjust to whatever changes are made to the playing style.

What? RWB is a top 5 player in the NBA right now. They're not the same player at all. I'd like to see a package of Brown, Brooklyn '17, Smart and future picks.

No they are not. RW is better than IT.

On both ends.  RW can be kind of a hog but so can IT. When you are desperate for a bucket,  you can give it to RW and move out the way. IT needs 2-3 picks to be able to get off his shots in tough situations

in a vacuum, I would think IT would be part of the trade based on exchanging similar players but the thing that comes to mind from an OKC viewpoint is why would they want IT?  if Westbrook is traded, they're in rebuild mode and would presumably want building blocks like good young players and draft picks.

I could see them asking for Smart, Brown, maybe Rozier too and at least one of the Brooklyn picks and another first at a minimum.  whether or not that's acceptable to Danny is another question.

I feel like I'm the minority but

I WOULD LOVE WESTBROOK IN BOSTON!
if he signed an extension...
Big if

He's a very dynamic player!! And he's a ruthless player the Garden would go crazy with some of the things he can do!

IT4 and him don't fit well together and I love IT4 but Westbrook has the talent of a top 3 player if Brad Stevens can get him to listen

23.5 ppg 7.8rpg 10.4apg withy Durant
28.1ppg  7.3rpg 8.6apg without Durant

Sell him on coming here after Durant Spurned us.. Imagine the Durant vs Westbrook headlines twice a year

Westbrook doesn't give you shooting, I mean he will shot a lot but shooting isn't something he adds to a team per se.

I agree with this. Unless there is a 3 way trade

Okc would prob like Brown, Rozier plus 2017 nets for RW.

Dont think Danny bites
