Fun game.

Brown, Rozier, and Nader all made a case to get some playing time next year.
Nader is not going to be on the roster. He's agreed to sign directly in Maine. But who knows how this is going to pan out -- Bentil kind of cooled off.

I heard today that Nader didn't actually agree to anything. I would also bet that if he had agreed, he'd be more than happy to play for the real team instead.

Yeah I read that today too. I'm assuming if he did directly sign with Maine, we wouldn't be able to bring him up to the main team, right?
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Seriously, Jamie Young made Schrewberry look like Brad Stevens. I wonder why he didn't coach the C's in Vegas.

I am surprised Nader is not going to make the roster. He's clearly the 3rd best player on this summer league roster. He plays strong and under control. I thought when he got blocked at the end of the game it should have been a goaltend also which obviously would have changed the whole game. Whatever, it's summer league and we saw 3 guys stand out in Rozier, Brown and Nader. Watching James Young play defense is sad. At one point when  he was defending the big guy and the big guy did a spin move and Young in his cement shoes I'm pretty sure said "Man this is a great view here. That was awesome!"

Nader drive left hand diagonal into the paint from just above the break on the strong side is really effective. His ball handling is very good. He got blocked once by McCrae doing that, but otherwise that was very effective. Look forward to seeing him up in Maine.

I missed the game and only just saw the box score. Holy Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline. brown's stat line is great!! And rozier ain't chopped liver. Either.  Nader looks to be a SL warrior.  ;D

Tp to anyone. Who can give me a quick summary. Thanks.

Horribly coached crunch time by the Assistant Coach. He essentially made a possible 1 possession game into a 2 possession game

I hate Jamie Brown's coaching.  He seriously does not understand rotations

Well, he has learned from the best, lol ;) ::) ;D.

BLA, I tolerate and appreciate your out there opinions most of the time, but Brad Stevens is CLEARLY an upper echelon NBA coach. Were extremely lucky to have him, and that's not up for much debate.

Dude is a basketball savant. Just because he doesn't play the guys you want him to play as much as you want him to doesn't mean he's a bad coach. He's one of the best in the game. Everyone outside of GSW and SA would LOVE to have him.

Btw, how down are you on the Brown pick now? I think it's pretty obvious this kid has sky high potential.

I don't think that that's an unfair criticism of Stevens at all, in regards to rotations, as many on here have expressed that same view during nearly every game since he took over, lol, and it's not about guys whom I want him to play, it's just that I'd wish that he'd stop this musical chairs routine.  You can't shuttle a guy back and forth from Maine during the season, have him sit on the bench most of the time, and then pull him after he misses the first 3 he's taken in weeks or chew him out for not being perfect on defense when he hasn't had the opportunity to get it down during actual games.  I just think that that's incredibly unfair, but whatever #doitonyourowntime ::). I also don't think he's anywhere near a 'basketball savant' on the sidelines.  Give me a break.  He's a good defensive coach, sure, but he doesn't adopt his approach to the game based on the players we have, imo.  Surely, if he was some kind of 'genius' he'd figure out that taking 30+ 3s a game when we really only have Bradley who can consistently knock it down isn't a viable offensive strategy, but whatever, lol.  I also wasn't impressed during a game this year when he had to ask Ed Lacerte how many fouls one of our guys had :o.

I mean, seriously?  That's unconscionable to me.  Fwiw, though, I don't think much of coaches, today, anyway, as the last active great coach, imo, was Doug Collins.  Pop was looking great until he blew game 6 in 2013.  Twice.  But for the most part, they all do the same things, to me.  If you want to talk about coaches who were basketball savants, Red, Pat Riley, Bill Fitch, Jon MacLeod, Doug Collins, and Dick Motta are the first names that come to mind, and I'd put Bird in that group, as well.  I'm sure that I've forgotten many great coaches and I apologize for that, as I wasn't around to see all of them.  Should Jack Ramsay also be in there?  Maybe, but in this era there aren't many good ones, let alone great ones, imo, although I'm sure that most would put Rick Carlisle among the best, and I guess that I kind of agree with that, maybe.

As for Brown, I was very concerned after the first 2-3 games, with that fadeaway being the only consolation prize, yesterday, iirc, and it's nice to see him playing better, sure, but I still have what I think are understandably serious reservations about his handle, inability to finish, decision making, jump shot (even though his form is fine, imo), and his defense is okay, I guess, but I do like that he can get to the line.  A lot.  My only question is will that carry over to real NBA games, if for no other reason than rookies are the Rodney Dangerfield's of the league, regardless of position, plus he's a Celtic, so yeah, lol.

Contrary to popular belief, I do want him to succeed - I really do - but there hasn't been much to be excited about, imo :-\. Hopefully, he proves me wrong :). Brb, finding crow recipes (sarcasm), lol ;D.

So Brown ended up with 25 pts on 8-16 fgs, 9 rebs, 1 ast, 2 stl, 8-11 free throws  with three turnovers over 25 minutes. Pretty good performance.

Yeah, but we should have drafted Dunn according to many impatient fans.

This kid can fill up a stat sheet despite his rawness. He is going to be a very good player. Needs to cut back on that spin move though.

Just imagine how good Brown will be when he gets to Dunns current age...

Brown , Nader and Rozier and Yabu have potiental and upside to make the big show..  Mickey maybe useful but he could be still hurt some.  Not given up on him.

The rest are D league scrubs that will get abused in the real NBA.

Thorton needs to find another career .   W&m is a great college , if he graduated .....he should be ok .

I'm starting to think that this is another Drummond situation where his game is much more suited for the NBA than college. His ability to get to the rim with the spacing of the NBA makes him such an offensive tool, and it will only give him even more room and space to develop his jump shot.

Brown and Rozier were dominant. Nader was very good again. Everyone else was a bit meh. Rebounding and interior defense remain issues for the junior Celts.

I'm pleasantly surprised by Nader. He is a legit player. A steal where he was picked. I hope we find a way to hold on to him. Jackson and Bentil can be let go as far as I'm concerned p.

True that.....Cavs best players were 3-6 years his senior and been around the block .   Brown played well against much more experienced TALLER players .

Brown needs a jumper ......people are waiting on his drives .  A knock down 20 footer would help open up his inside attack.
