I didn't go to coaching school, but why the heck would we foul in a 1 possession game with 32 seconds to go?!   ??? ??? ???

Or, you know, get a quick two and a stop, as opposed to taking and missing a 3, which sealed the win for the Cavs.  The worst part is that Brown then gets an old fashioned 3 point play.  Ugh.

Fun game.

Brown, Rozier, and Nader all made a case to get some playing time next year.
Nader is not going to be on the roster. He's agreed to sign directly in Maine. But who knows how this is going to pan out -- Bentil kind of cooled off.

Jamie Young has been pretty consistently awful throughout SL.
I thought Micah Shrewsberry was coaching...

He coached in Utah, Young in Vegas.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

So Brown ended up with 25 pts on 8-16 fgs, 9 rebs, 1 ast, 2 stl, 8-11 free throws  with three turnovers over 25 minutes. Pretty good performance.
In 31 minutes. But yeah, still good.

Is the next game the last one no matter what?

yes. 2016 teaching kids that they all win... how do you go 1-3 and still play???? give them all a trophy why don't you.

Summer league only exists to give young guys playing time. Why cut down on the number of games for the team's that clearly need the most practice?

another game wont matter. not that I won't watch but it is pretty stupid after the playoffs start, had the game come b4 I could understand.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

I was impressed by how much better his finishing was in this game.  Grabbing and finishing his own misses, too.

Horribly coached crunch time by the Assistant Coach. He essentially made a possible 1 possession game into a 2 possession game

I hate Jamie Brown's coaching.  He seriously does not understand rotations

Well, he has learned from the best, lol ;) ::) ;D.

BLA, I tolerate and appreciate your out there opinions most of the time, but Brad Stevens is CLEARLY an upper echelon NBA coach. Were extremely lucky to have him, and that's not up for much debate.

Dude is a basketball savant. Just because he doesn't play the guys you want him to play as much as you want him to doesn't mean he's a bad coach. He's one of the best in the game. Everyone outside of GSW and SA would LOVE to have him.

Btw, how down are you on the Brown pick now? I think it's pretty obvious this kid has sky high potential.

There's the terrific ball handling skills of brown like he had at cal ::)

I know right?  Can't crticize the beloved Celtics on here because you'll get flamed

Nobody has an issue with criticizing Celtics players.  If you look, everyone of has at some point.  The issue is that you never seem to do anything BUT be relentlessly negative.  It took a 20-10 performance from Brown for you to even admit that he was deserving of being picked in the first round.  And THEN, he has another great game but you can't let one miscue go without flaming him again

Look, no one thinks this Celtics team is perfect, and Young guys definitely aren't. But acting like every mistake is a surefire sign that Brown is a bust (and that you were right all along!) git old fast, and at this point it's borderline trolling

borderline trolling??? Looks full blown troll to me !!!

Ya know maybe people need to stop wearing their feelings on their sleeves around here.  As soon as negative comments are said people get all but hurt like we're talking about your momma or something. Grow the freak up. Not even professional NBA scouts can properly project where a Player is gonna be.  So no one knows, but I'm not gonna sit back and say oh joy of joys how wonderful someone is as if they might be looking at my comments, when at that moment, they're not playing well.  Even the announcers were not impressed with Browns first half and that's when he was taken to task.  He came alive in the second half and I gVe him his props.  If your the number 3 selected player you darn well better play like it more consistently.  I hope he does, but right now I'm not gonna fall all in love with potential.  Potential gets nothing.

I'm gonna call it like I see it because it's a discussion board and I'm talking about players on the court that have millions of reason not to give a rip about what I have to say. Try focusing on that next time instead of what other people are saying that may contrast your personal feelings.

Some of his throw downs/ spin moves were super exciting. When he did that one spin move in the 3rd quarter, I thought he'd traveled because he got to the hoop so fast.

He's a heck of a lot of fun to watch.

Good game by Rozier but looking into it deeper, he is such a ball hog

Where are the extra passes?

If Pops was the coach , one of his brain vessels would pop

If Pop was the coach, he would look long and hard at what kind of tailspin his career was in to have him end up as coach of a summer league team

I also think he would recognize that every summer league player is out for themselves and not to read too much into it
I'm bitter.

Did you go to pro scout school? If so, please share the latest on the juicy trade rumors out there.

I am surprised Nader is not going to make the roster. He's clearly the 3rd best player on this summer league roster. He plays strong and under control. I thought when he got blocked at the end of the game it should have been a goaltend also which obviously would have changed the whole game. Whatever, it's summer league and we saw 3 guys stand out in Rozier, Brown and Nader. Watching James Young play defense is sad. At one point when  he was defending the big guy and the big guy did a spin move and Young in his cement shoes I'm pretty sure said "Man this is a great view here. That was awesome!"
