Pass on...This guy's career is going downhill. From Celtics to Fener and then to weaker Darussaffaka. Not worth of having topic.

Nice, big bodied, durable, center to keep Horfords minutes at the 5 spot down. Unlikely to find a better option for a playoff run left on the market.

Isaiah is campaigning for Jason Terry but I think this makes a lot more sense.

Pretty much. He hit 93 of 261 threes last year at (35%). Be nice for him to actually win a championship with us though, make that tattoo not so ridiculous

Lol, I couldn't stand Jason Terry when he was here.  All talk and no game.  Unless you can back it up, just shut up and play, and unfortunately for us, Terry could do neither almost FOUR YEARS AGO this season.  Go back to Dallas.  Oh lawd.

In regards to the thread, and I apologize if I've temporarily derailed it, lol, do we really want Semih 'Pro' Erden, back, anyway, ahaha ;D?

"I don't know who would help, but anybody that can put the ball in the basket from 3 would definitely help us and our spacing. I know there is an old guy out there named Jason Terry -- he can still hit some shots. That's my old head. I know there's some shooters out there that can put the ball in the basket and hopefully we can get our hands on them."

No thanks. Rather have Dion Waiters.

People were way too harsh on Terry when he was here.

Terry averaged 15 PPG in 32 MPG when he was in Dallas as a #2 scoring option at the age of 34...and people just expected him to come in to Boston, at the age of 35, take a reduced role (as a #4 or#5 scoring), in reduced minutes (27 MPG) and put up the same type of scoring numbers - it was never a realistic expectation.

Terry came in, at the age of 35, off the bench, as the 4th or 5th scoring option, and gave us double figure scoring and fairly respectable percentages.   I'm not sure how that can be seen as anything less then a solid return given the circumstances.

Did someone just call Erden durable? Are you out of your mind?!

I think what really hurt people's perceptions of Terry was that he went through a two year period (his last year in Dallas and his one year in Boston) where his home-road shooting splits got ridiculously extreme.   He shot fantastic in the Garden for us (.625 TS% and .427 3PT%) but horrid on the road (.502 TS%, .313 3PT%).  That poor road shooting hurt in many losses.   Combined with the overall bad luck for that team (Rondo, Sully & Leandro's injuries leading to failure to get out of the first round) left a bad taste in some fan's mouth.

I agree, that much of that is unfairly dumped on Terry.   Probably because he has a larger personality.

But despite the uneven shooting,  Terry otherwise actually performed very well for us that year.

His shooting splits have since then become more 'normal' again.
NBA Officiating - Corrupt?  Incompetent?  Which is worse?  Does it matter?  It sucks.

Yup, just go over the FA signings thread for an updated list of who is left.  Plenty of big bodies with lots of NBA experience who would take the vet min.
