Any information not from Woj/a few of the other accredited media sources is worthless.

Woj is worthless. He had no clue what was up with Horford.

I know Doc loves Smart, guessing it could look like this:

LAC gets both BKL picks, Smart, Rudy Gay
SAC gets Crowder or maybe Bradley
BOS gets Blake

Seems fair.  LAC can stay in the hunt and also get those picks to rebuild with.  Don't forget that they always seem to play well when Blake is hurt, and desperately need help defending on the wing.  SAC is probably the hold up, guessing.  Vlade strikes me as a pretty disengaged guy.

I hate this deal. Sacramento robs us... Crowder is worth way more than Rudy Gay. And then we're giving Smart and both Bkn picks for a one year rental on Blake? Why would we do that, when he could just leave next year, and at the very least we'll need to pay him the max? Argh!!!

The rumors say Crowder. Doubt they'll deal Bradley or Smart, too. Too much of a hit on D.
The Celtics draft picks figure in here--between Kings and Clips. Plus cap fodder. Pierce would probably come, too, for the min.

Pierce is under contract for $3.5M.  The rumored deal doesn't seem to fit financially.  Needs to include Amir, I reckon.

LAC get both BKL picks, Gay, Amir
BOS gets Blake and Pierce
SAC gets Bradley

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=z2m6avq

All the sudden, from LAC's perspective, probably not as enticing.  And SAC gets to upgrade AND cut salary.  So...I doubt this gets done.

That said, I could see Danny and Doc conspiring to push SAC into a Boogie deal.  Something like; Amir, Redick, the BKL picks + Mem or Bos future 1st going to SAC, with Smart heading to LAC.  That would be great for Boston and LAC, and all the sudden with us on the verge of spending the BKL picks for a Blake deal, Sac may feel urgency?

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=h797jcc  ---- Pierce would fit this format as well...one can dream, I suppose.

This would be way more reasonable, but why involve Sacramento? Rudy Gay isn't good.

Soooo... we give up two probably top 5 picks, Crowder who is an NBA starter, and Smart who was the 7 pick, for the guy who broke his hand pounding on the trainer's head and they played better without.

I'm going to say a big "NO" on that one.

True.  Amir/AB plus the BKL picks for PP and BG seems much more straight forward.

At the end of the day, we are going to have to pay up if we want Griffin or Cousins.  Everyone knows Danny is a low-baller.  Easier to walk away if he's unwilling to knock off your socks.

I think the fact Rudy Gay wants a trade and can be had for cheap....Danny is using that to help give the Clippers value for BG.

Clippers would at least get an former all star... plus future picks.

I'm going to say a big "NO" on that one.

Smart was the 6th pick. Doesn't really matter where a guy was drafted though once they hit the court. Michael Beasley was once the 2nd overall pick. Adam Morrison was once a 3rd overall pick. Not saying Smart doesn't have some talent, but we can't not consider him in trade because "he was a 6th pick". If that's the case, doesn't Blake win out because he was 1st overall?

And I get people love Crowder, but his talent level isn't anywhere near Blake's. People keep bringing up the Clippers without him last season, but they also played outstandingly when CP3 was out for a big stretch the season before and Blake was the focal point.

Yep. That belief that Woj is an infallible source died at the same time as the belief that the Celtics are not a destination for highly valued free agents.

Whatever it takes, one of Blake or Griffin and not give up Both of Avery and Smart. Somehow keep Crowder, im with it. Cash In the chips. Preferably want Cousins, but if we could keep one of the Brooklyn Pick's I say def go for Blake.

Don't forget that he is an expiring contract. I know we all desperately want all-stars on our roster, but that deal makes me want to puke. I would be really upset.

Diggles probably has the right idea here - Danny is trying to get in on a deal where they don't totally get ripped off in acquiring a player like Blake.

I look at what Ainge did with the first two Brooklyn picks, and suddenly I become a whole lot less worried about moving the next two. Smart is a one-trick pony. Giving up Crowder would hurt.

I'm going to say a big "YES" on that one.
