Looks like a great 2nd round pick. Hopefully we can stash him up in Maine for awhile until he can get on the bench. He has gotten better and better each game and the guy has skills. Other than Rozier and possibly Hunter, he has been our most productive guy.

This is correct. TheVertical reported this on draft day. Also, I refuse to get excited about a 22-year old 6'6 PF. That's the type of player that thrives in SL/DL settings; if I had to guess, I'd say he'll never play an NBA game in a Celtics uniform.

yeah. its still unlikely he'll turn into something. but you never know right? despite all the scouting and analysis etc there still turn out to be second round picks that turn out to be awesome. IT for example.

  I hope they at least give him a chance to show something in preseason etc before automatically sending him to Maine.  Don't see the harm in that.

That's exactly my point, I don't think they will and Nader will then be free to sign an overseas contract.  THAT is stashing.  If Nader decides to try out for a D-league team and sign a D-league contract on his own, he will only earn chump change:

I'm not even sure this is a new rule. A player can opt to sign their first professional contract with any other non-NBA team, and the Celtics will still hold his NBA rights.

I've heard the same thing (regarding the ability to stash in the d league) but don't have a reference.  Also heard that nader had agreed to this on draft night.

I was laughing when Nader and every other guy on our SL roster blew by Bender last night like he was in quicksand.  Elite athlete.  Excellent lateral quickness.  Can guard all 5 positions.  HAHAHAH!  Every time I watch Bender play will be like Christmas, and watching Kris Dunn tear up the league is going to be torture for McDonagh.

Also, Chriss's play style and body type screams "season-ending injury".
