He looks like he is in great shape for a guy who is 280.  He moves around and has a very quick first step. Particularly that move where he takes it to the hoop at 35 seconds.  That's pretty good.  He shoots from 3 too.

I don't know if that replay is sped up but it makes him look like his first step is ridiculous for a guy that size. That ball fake and go is pretty good.

He is twice as fast as Suly and moves like a guy 235 .  He has a different body shape than Sully.  He is built like a young Shaq .

He does the same thing at the end too. Hit's a couple 3's then ball fake and go.  Maybe that's why Sully is gone.

plus Amir, mickey, bentil and jerebko to go next to Horford for now.  Much more versatile group.   Nader looks surprisingly good too.

I'd hope that one game, let alone four (?) counting Utah isn't enough to make a decision on a player who we've had for what, four years now?

Still, a rookie scale contract is cheaper than whatever Sully will get in FA. If the Cs are out on him and his inability to reach a new level between years 3 and 4, then they might as well go for the cost-controlled asset instead.

I think the C's may be looking to play Horford at PF some as well.  I think Sully does not fit here with Horford at all.  We are probably going to add another big man ultimately where it was time to move on.  I'm surprised they didn't hold him somewhat as far as trades but I don't think Ainge is that greedy.

I'm a fan of Sully too. I'm a fan of all our guys and wish what's best for them If he ever gets his body right, but Yab looks so much fresher it's absurd.

It works both ways though, doesn't it?  The 3-4 years of Sully is apparently enough to make a decision that he doesn't have a future with this team.  OTOH, between Yabusele, Bentil, Zizic, Mickey the C's will end up with a good replacement.

Yeah, as it stands, I am not too worried. We have Horford, Amir, KO, and JJ for basically all the big man minutes. If we need somebody to step in due to an injury (definitely not Zizic this season, apparently), I'd imagine one of them could handle semi-consistent minutes. If not, Ainge will have done a terrible job drafting.

Yabu is also skilled and talented.

I really hope he sticks with the roster.

Not too often you see a young man that size move like he does AND with the skills he has.

Dude looks like he could be on Dancing with the Stars one day...really light on his feet.

Will be interesting to see him continue to develop and use that size to his advantage.

I don't think there's much point bringing him over this year regardless of what happens with Sullinger given that Jerebko probably eats all of his minutes.

He's unique.  Actually a more athletic Paul Pierce with about 40 extra pounds of muscle!   Pierce obviously far more skilled with the ball but Yabu has some decent skills. I am now thinking I'd like to see him here this year as I think CBS coaching him would be great.
