No lol. Russell is a much more talented player and comparing him to Rozier is insulting to Russell. Russell will be an all star in 3-4 years.
may not even be that long playing in LA on a team where he will have as many touches as he wants.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah

This patently ridiculous threads need to stop.

Mudiay Russell is a better stage comparison, but rosier already has craft. He's still just too barnstormy. Rosier still has crazy ceiling. Danny lucked out

It isn't close. SMH.

Yeah and I get that Rozier has looked good through 3 summer-league games, but Summer-league is Summer-league.  And fwiw, Russell looked spectacular yesterday against Buddy Hield:

20 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 steals 58%/100%/100%

Here we go with this crazy upside thing again but no one wants to look at the actually game..  If we are dismissing teams (because you would be out of your mind to think that Rozier if he played for the Lakers,  a (2  dang on win team(tongue in cheek) couldn't average double figures with the Green light to do whatever he wanted...

Here is a better stat.. what was Russell's playoff stats in comparison to Rozier? How many MEANINGFUL games or even minutes did Russell log last year?

I'll wait..

I hope the Lakers believe that, I'd trade Rozier for Russell in a heartbeat...

I'll pull the trigger if the Lakers can guarantee he doesn't come with a phone

About as relevant as comparing Brian Scalabrine's playoff stats to Karl Towns' playoff stats.  C'mon.

At this moment in time, Rozier has next to no trade value.  He did nothing as a rookie.

I hope he has a larger role next year and contributes, but until that happens, he's irrelevant to this league.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Russell no comparison right now
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Having Value to the league and Value for your Team is 2 different things..  Rozier plays for a team that is improving and what he provides is meaningful to us.
Russell last year was meaningless to the lakers..

And I made the playoff comment because someone tried to use 13 points a game on the 2nd worst team in basketball..   I prefer a guy who can help a playoff team vs a guy who collects stats on a bum team.

Rozier provided next to nothing for us. You can't use the fact that Rozier was on a playoff team when he was an end of the bench guy. It's like saying Gabe Pruitt was better than Kevin Durant after his rookie year because he won a title while Durant was toiling away on a terrible Sonics team.

No...not right now.

But I wouldn't be shocked if Terry becomes the better all around (including defense and clutch genes) player down the line.

I hope it happens.
