C- Horford
PF - KO
SF- Crowder
SG- AB
PG- IT

Bench

C- Amir/Yabu
PF- Jerebko/Mickey
SF- Brown/Young
SG- Smart/Hunter
PG- Rozier/Jackson

There are no FAs remaining that are worth going after imo. Only way to help improve the roster further are through trades.

We have a better roster roster than last season and I expect the team to be able to at least get past the 1st round of the playoffs.

Thoughts?

I think Amir starts, but yeah basically.

I think Young is gone.  He's absolutely terrible.  I watched all three SL games and the only thing he can do is hit an occasional three.

His defense is horrible.  Did you see the backdoor alley-oop they ran against him?  Alan Anderson just tore him up too.  He goes for the pump fake every time.

And when he drives?  Holy crap.  He gets his shot blocked and/or falls down almost every time.  He looks like he's trying to be Paul Pierce but he just can't finish.

Seriously, the Bentil kid looks better than Young.  Just cut him and be done with it.

No, we're not set yet. Plenty of decisions to be made still with limited roster spots as is, while juggling to keep rights to your draft picks & addressing roster needs.

Amir plus horford upfront does not "stretch" the floor enough

KO i bet will be even better

Plus having Amir come off the bench gives the team a better "balance" upfront

Tell me, how many more spots on the roster are open?

You dont need to sign a 3rd string pg when you have a nice young prospect like Jackson.

Maybe a third string center. But i rather keep yabu

Unless young, hunter are traded for a nice sf/sg shooter(we trade them to open up a roster spot for a reliable shooter vet) cant see any other key additions

The that ship sailed when Durant announced he was signing with GSW

I don't think we keep the 2nd round picks.

I'd much rather keep Sullinger
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

Ainge says it isn't set.

And for once, I agree with him. The current roster isn't going to get it done.

He still needs plenty of work but you dont just cut your 20 year old first round pick who has a low salary on a team with open roster spots..

Ainge has said lots of things. Its good that he remains opportunistic. He has also said you need two to tango(trades)

Unless there is a key FA available out of nowhere , a trade or two is the only way to improve this roster

Dont hold your breath hoping that butler is coming here anytime soon

The thing is we don't really have open roster spots. Not given the fact we have some holes left in our rotation.

This is exactly what Ainge just said.

Butler isn't coming here, period.

There are a lot of other opportunities to improve this team and thin out all the draft choices Ainge has made.

I expect some of them to be utilized. You don't sign Al Horford and re-commit to a "youth movement."

You do, if they're not a professional basketball player.

Bye, James Young.
