Wade can still play - he doesn't have it in him probably to carry a team anymore, but if he can take on a role as Butler's #2 he remains very dangerous offensively.

Rondo put up some of the best stats of his career last year.

There's a lack of shooting, but all three of those guys are very good players with exceptional talent.  With the right bigs, that could be a more dangerous team then it's given credit for.

Wade and Rondo are both tough guys who love the big stage.  Those guys were built for the playoffs.

Where are they going to get the right bigs? They lost Noah and Gasol, and there is nobody decent left to sign, and they have no assets worth trading for a good big man. In addition, not only are Rondo, Wade and Butler all poor perimeter shooters, they each need the ball in their hands all the time. This lineup is primed for disaster.

Wade got paid and is going home, so he's ok with it. He doesn't care about the on court success. Rondo wasn't getting any good offers from anyone else so he's ok with it. Butler is going to want out asap.

They picked up Robin Lopez from the kicks.

That is far from th type of bigs this lineup needs.

I really don't care what they need - you just made it sound like they lost two and had none. I think Robin Lopez albeit not great he is definitely serviceable and can't be any worse than Noah was last year.

Rondo's numbers last year were very similar to his career numbers which are below what his peak career numbers were for the Cs. In particular, his defensive +/- numbers have been far below his career numbers the last half of his career, which has been the biggest difference from the Big 3 era.

Wade and Rondo will never get along.

Wade will see the ball in Rondo's hands much too often for his taste. Rondo will run Wade around like he did to Ray Allen, leaving Butler scratching his head.

Talent is wonderful, but chemistry is extremely important too.
