I would think adding Wade, an older player who still has something left, shows the Bulls aren't completely rebuilding and won't trade Butler... or is that off base? I could easily see Wade at the 2 and Butler at the 3.

I actually hope this is the case because I do NOT want to give up Bradley or Crowder PLUS a Brooklyn pick (especially the 2017 BKN pick swap). If anything, we should go all in on Cousins, but still *NOT* including the 2017 BKN pick swap. If there is any team we can fleece, it would be Sacramento...

The Kings aren't gonna want to trade Cousins anytime soon. They finally hired what appears to be an acceptable coach, and because they're making plans to relocate to a new stadium, they'll probably want to do what they can to satisfy Cousins and market him as their franchise player.

But....assuming things continue to worsen in Sacremento, and Cousins reaches a breaking point...and assuming the Kings still aren't in the playoffs by next season, and we happen win the Draft Lottery and receive either the #1 or #2 pick, Sacremento could be willing to part ways with Cousins for a chance to draft a replacement. Of course, they'll also want someone on our roster (AB, Crowder, or Smart) and they'll definiately try to fleece us for the 2018 BRKYLN pick

But for now, lets just hope things continue to worsen in Sacremento, and Cousins reaches a breaking point  :)

TP - agreed! I think our best shot to add Cousins would be a year from now or a year and a half from now at the trade deadline as I think he will be an expiring (could be wrong on that though). I wouldn't want to give up a top 3 pick in next year's draft for him though...

No need to trade, we can draft 2 top3 player and just sign him for free

How long do you want to draw this rebuild out?  Cousins will be a FA in 2018....If there's a chance to make a trade for him sooner than that, why not go for it?

..
.
Because we want to be contenders for more than 2 or 3 years unlike our most recent incarnation of the Big 3. A few top 3 draft picks with FA could give us a chance to be contenders for 10-15 years. Patience is virtue- just askeep the Cass  (Love for Wiggins)

The path to the goal sometimes is more important than the goal(see: KD)
