Why do people hate Sullinger so much?  Guy has played well for us.  Yes, he struggles with his weight.  It's his body type. It ain't easy given his metabolism.

Waste of a talent and a big tease.  If he lost 50 pounds he's a borderline allstar imo.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Considering he's an RFA t's possible that this could just mean that change to his diet/health 'is coming'.

I think we'd just sign him if he was only $8 million a year.

I'd say he's going to command at least $12-16 million a year and if that's the case we'll let him walk.

The guy is a capable starting power forward in the NBA and is young.

If Mozgov is getting 16 million then Sully's getting at least $12 milion.

Good thing is that with Horford here he's finally got some competition to compete for minutes.
He got scared by Amir and David Lee joining so he's probably doing the same off season motivational self pressure.

Unlikely he has the discipline to keep it up unfortunately.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

I hope southern teams are avoiding signing him, there are way too many fast food options.

That Tex-Mex food would end him too

Pretty much this. I get having weight and food issues, but this is his profession that he gets paid millions of dollars for. It always bothered me that he didn't seem to take getting in shape seriously. He has the means to hire a personal trainer and a personal chef, but he never seemed really committed to it.

I personally never bought the whole metabolism excuse. Look at the biggest loser show. While that's probably not the best way to lose weight it's obvious it can be done. He has millions to help him get whatever help he needs. He's lazy. Pure and simple.

you might want to do some more research on this topic before posting. the weight problems that abound in the US are tied to a lot more than being lazy. next, metabolism differences do make a difference...as anyone who was once 20 and is now middle aged can tell you.  ;D
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Dear Sully ,

Take it from a old guy ....

Every year it get harder to keep the weight off and stay in shape .....NOT easier

These are your easy years to stay in shape .

Your about to hit the ballon age , where everything and anything turns to,fat.

Eh a lot of what your body is like is genetic, though obviously Sullinger could stay in a lot better shape. He's always going to have that big butt though even when he drops a bunch. Never going to be a chiseled guy.

Staying in shape during season is the hard part, travel + room service, and injuries/games make it harder. To bad he was never able to figure out something that worked for him.

You don't have to be lazy to be a middle-age adult with a desk job and sedentary lifestyle. Jared Sullinger is none of these, so that argument doesn't really apply here.

Yup , he has coaches, teammates , millions of dollars on the line ......yet somewhere in his head .....somebody has told him it's all right to,be fat .  He needs to be a gym rat , jog , and eat right . ....he could loose 50 lbs by following a healthy lifestyle .  Millions of people do it every days....

Although ...the scum media wants the public to think ....fat obese people TV show like Honey BOO Boo bear is the normal .  It's NOT normal.....it's disgusting to watch people being shown living like a white trash human is correct.
