Yeah that's more what I was saying. I guess if you read what I said the wording sort of sounds like something else. There is no tone this way. But was more trying to point out and try to figure out if Mickey will play this year.
We can really save ourselves 11 million dollars though by the way the roster is set up. We need Amir now, but we get someone else we don't necessarily. Also if Mickey develops , we don't need Amir either.
Not knocking Amir either. He's very good. He gets paid 11 mil because he is an nba level rim protector and he's worth it compared to a lot of guys.
By save 11 million dollars, I more mean open that money up to spend elsewhere and on better talent. That talent has to be there to spend on though.
There are ways with the rising cap where we can get in position to add 2 max players again though vs 1.
Well that was why I asked. People assume people think things they don't so whatever. I wasn't giddy over mickey. It was a ?
Thanks for assuming I'm stupid though. Great talking to you!
Don't get offended by what people post in response to you. No one here is ever out to question other 'intelligence,' even though that has happened numerous times in my time here in Cblog, despite the rules stating that we need to be respectful towards each other.
As for Mickey, I'm very high on him. I believe he has a Draymond Lite/Serge Ibaka ceiling, and could certainly become just like them, once he works on his weaknesses, shooting, passing, and handles.
He admitted that he gets compared to a lot of great shot blockers, but says his game is modeled after Dennis Rodman. And I can kind of see that. Rodman was never a great shot blocker, but what he brought on the floor, intensity, intangibles, rebounding, hustle, and nothing but his heart on the floor is nothing less of a monumental turnaround for a player that fell down from late first to second round.
Ainge believes highly in Mickey, just like you do Walker, or he wouldn't have doled out the historic highest 2nd round contract extension in NBA history.
I hope he does work on his shooting though. Spacing in today's NBA is extremely crucial to creating better offense.
