http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/242715/Durant-Initially-Put-Off-By-Draymonds-Comment-Warriors-Could-Win-Titles-Even-Without-Him

Quote
“They were telling him about how they were going to win championships even if he didn’t come there,” said a coach. “I don’t think they came right out and said he wasn’t going to win if he didn’t sign with them — that would be crazy — but I was told that’s how he kind of took it.”

Draymond Green is a competitor and probably the heart of the Warriors team. KD is soft, just like Dwight. There could be a clash of personalities later, just like Dwight and Kobe saga but looking at the paper, he would fit just fine with Kerr's system. But who knows?

Just had a vision that he's going to wind up the fourth-best and fifth-most-important player on the team. The spot-up shooter version of 2008 Rondo. A rich man's Harrison Barnes. He'll play it off, probably with self-deprecating "You Da Real MVP" jokes, but it'll actually eat away at him, he'll be filled with regret by January, when the Warriors will demonstrate that there is such a thing in sports as having too much talent, at least on offense in basketball which is not cumulative like defense, a point of not just diminishing returns but negative returns because unlike national team camaraderie and ego-shelving that lasts a month and earns players major props even as role players, this is an entire NBA regular season, 82 games of taking a backseat. It'll become torture. They'll be a couple games behind last year's pace, still on course for about 70 wins, but that'll feel like a failure. With the scoring/shooting duties split three ways, Draymond will emerge as (for real) the real most valuable player, averaging a triple double or just shy. (Under all the stress, he'll revert to "I am not a robot!" mode more often.) That means even less shine for Durant, and now Curry would start feeling heat, too. The pressure on them is going to be colossal. They will now forever be chasing the NBA equivalent of 19-0 that slipped from their grasp, and if they're derailed even a little, it'll be magnified ×10. Fail to win this year? How would they ever again feel confident in their ability to win a title? What are they going to do next year to ensure a championship, if they don't win this year? Add a 5th All-NBA player, lol? Growing even mightier would only make them feel that the next fall will be even harder. They're doomed, hahahahaha! ;)

Golden State will not only have to resist imploding from the weight of expectations, they're also doused in accelerant so they'll have to extinguish all the petty little sparks a competitive. diverse team of pros inevitably ignites lest one begets a forest fire.

p.s. Warning: I predicted the Cavs would unravel, too.
