I just need to show him love before bed.  But in the nba it's difficult to get PT and find your nitch but Thornton is a guy who can do that I feel.  he's a hard worker. If you really watch him he has a good style of play and can do a lot of different things.  Who knows if he will ever get a shot. He's so young like so many of these guys. played at a small school.  He's 3rd or 4th on our depth chart right now and limited as far as his upside but has shown improvement

Not popular opinion but he puts up points and stats in different categories as much as any of our young players right now.  Rozier is showing increased poise and is a step ahead because of his nba experience but Thornton isn't far behind.  He can do a lot of different things.

I remember seeing interviews with his college coach, and Thornton is the hardest working player he had ever coached.  He probably won't get a shot with Boston, but I hope he gets a chance somewhere.

Saw a few things from him last night I didn't know he had in him. Dude's got some bounce, that's for sure.

In a Summer League game last year against Miami he arguably had the best outing of any of the C's in any other game. He flawlessly ran the club, shot well....his defense I don't recall. When he's on his game, he is a great field general. Unfortunately, he seems to run hot and cold....mostly cold.

I haven't watched him this year. Thus, not much I can add to that. Maybe he's better this year?

Actually Miller is the one who looks good in the Summer League.

Yes, Malcolm Miller has really impressed me.  He looks like he might actually have it in him to be a NBA player.

I'm sure he's a great kid and works really hard, but I really don't like watching Marcus Thornton play at all.  Way too much of a ball hog.

What I saw yesterday was a blackhole. Can the guy score? Absolutely....but everytime it touched his hands he pounded the snot out of the ball.

Celtics play team ball and it needs to move. I understand this is SL and you need to find a way to separate yourself from the others but....
ok fine

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
unfortunately he's not an nba player. I've watched him stink it up in the Australian league repeatedly.

Will be playing overseas full time for the rest of his career.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

Read that last line again. One more time.

That's exactly what I saw!

I also agree Malcolm Miller looks like the better prospect--also Demetrius Jackson--Just no spot for Thornton.
