I missed the game last night. Saw a nice up and under move by Yabu on Holmes (clip).

How does Yabu look compared to Sully?  Pluses. , Still needs to work on?

What about Bentil? His shooting, rebounding and overall defense?

People said Young looked like some @#$. He canned 2 3's, got a few good defensive stops, and rebounded while playing good hustle defense. But I would like to know too.

I heard Bentil looked like an NBA scorer, whereas Yabu did pretty bad from the comments on on Free Dawkin's Brown/Rozier highlight videos.

I absolutely love bentil. I felt he made Dunn look even better while at Providence. i hope he starts next game and slide Brown to SF. James Young can come off the bench.

Bentil looked like he's a keeper but needs work.  probably makes the 15 man roster but spending a lot of time in Maine.

Yabu is definitely a work in progress but didn't look like a blown pick.

Yabu looked a little lost. Sully would make him look silly (except in a foot race; Yabu got up and down fairly well). I don't think there's any chance he could help this year. A year or two of stashing will do him some good.

Young didn't look bad, but you'd want to see him dominate as a third-year player against this competition and he sure didn't. Still can't really create anything off the dribble or finish at the basket. Hunter looked a lot better (as did Malcolm Miller).

Bentil has a really nice stroke and a good offensive game. I'd like to see him make the roster.

The Summer League team could really use Zizic and Mickey. The tallest guys in the starting lineup were 6-7.

spot on.  particularly about Young.  he was better than prior years but in his third summer league, he should have looked much better than Miller did.  we'll have to see how he does the rest of the summer.

Yab looked bad on defense and didn't do much on offense (I watched the 2nd half). There were four defensive possessions where he made rookie errors.
-On one, Jonathan Holms drove one way, Yab committed, and Holms made him look silly with a quick change of direction that sent Yab flying the wrong direction leading to a baseline layup.
-On another, Yab was very late to help under the rim and gave up an open layup.
-On a third, Yab tried to ice a PnR but allowed the guard to blow right by him, and he had to reach and commit what I think was his 5th foul.
-On a fourth, I didn't see very clearly what happened, but Yab somehow got turned around with his back to his man, giving up a layup.

This will probably help him to start to adjust to the idea of being stashed for the year.

I wasn't watching him very closely, and it was tough to keep track of who was who on my crappy firstrowsports stream. I know he made some shots.

Yabusele did not belong on the floor; it was embarrassing. Especially considering the level of competition, he was shockingly bad. "French Draymond?" He's only slightly closer than I am to being Draymond.

I was also surprised at how bad Young and Hunter looked. You'd think their experience would be an advantage... if it was then they are just bad basketball players.

Rozier was the only player who looked like he would be useful to the Celtics this year. Jaylen Brown and Bentil need work and aren't ready for prime time, but you can see there's something there.

My unprofessional opinions.

You thought Hunter looked bad? I thought he was aggressively looking for his shot on offense, and he knocked down some tough ones. On defense he was locked in, and he had an impressive block. I was really impressed with Jaylen - he was drawing fouls at will.

though in fairness, young is one of THE youngest players on the court. so there is that too.

Yeah Hunter looked good, especially off the dribble where he looked night and day better than he did last year (and more comfortable).  He had some really aggressive takes that I liked a lot.  I have never expected much from him off the dribble so I was pleasantly surprised.  He did foul a lot.

Brown I was really impressed by going to the rim.  The best, consistent scorers are guys that go to the line and he seems primed to do that as a slasher.  Looks to dunk on people and can finish with both hands.

As far as Yab, he got the Draymond Green label from people's awful draft day comparisons.  He is not a guy hanging his hat on defense like Green.

Yabu was pretty much non-existent. Philly had a couple players like Wood that played with power.

Hunter was okay. He hit some 3's but he does look so thin and needs a little bulk.

Bentil looked okay but that's about it.

Rozier looked real good.

Brown looked like he was on a mission but he couldn't quite get it going. I think the plan was just to foul him which they did and he got to the line for 17 shots. That is impressive - 17 foul shots but needs more consistency with it. He did try to take a couple heads off but wasn't quite able to. He almost went after Rishaun Holmes (a big boy) after a hard foul.

James Young looked like a middle schooler trying to play with Varsity High Schoolers.

The backup point guard Jackson had flashes. I like him.
