Future bragging rights, and why you would be a better drafter than Ainge.

I gosta go my Boy Jamal Murray at #3

At #16 despite his flaws I can't believe Henry Ellenson was there at 16. You have to take the 6'11" monster that can grab a rebound and push it up the court himself.

Yab is shorter than I thought, he's got Ainge Bust written all over him.

Kris Dunn at 3.

I would have traded 16 for anything.
Coined the CelticsBlog term, "Euromistake."

Assuming I didn't make the trade with Philly (which I would have done)

Bender at 3
Ellenson at 16
Labissiere at 23
Davis at 31
Qi at 35
Zipser at 45
Cornelie at 51
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

Dunn at 3, Ellenson at 16, Skal at 23.  The Celtics need to roll the dice on potential superstars and not keep playing for 9th place.

Horford move was useless without KD.  Time to go young and prep for a run in 21'.

If I didn't trade number three, I probably would've picked Chriss. I think that kid is going to be something special, or at least could be if developed properly.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

2016 was the weakest draft class in years...but there were players still on the board that would've been the "safer" option (as in less "bust" potential) or could've at least filled a direct need.

But I can't fault Ainge for choosing the player with the highest ceiling. Jaylen Brown is raw, but has the physical tools to become a future All-Star.... sometimes you just have to roll the dice and see where it lands

I would have traded #16 to Brooklyn for Thad Young. The French Tank didn't really impress me tonight but I'll give it time.

Jaylen Brown at #3
I'd swing for the fences with Caris LeVert at #16 (now that I know he went 22, higher than I thought someone would gamble on him)

At the time I liked Dunn but Brown is growing on me.  At 16 I think I would have taken Labasierre
I'm bitter.

Lol, haven't we already been over this?

Dude looked like Sweetney out there, at best.  Ugh.

I was happy with Brown.  I wanted Ellenson at 16 -- was shocked he was available then, and was disappointed Hernangomez was gone.  I'm okay with the need to take some high-ceiling draft and stash players, however, given our roste crunch.  I really liked Zizic at 23, and if the picks were reversed, I doubt I'd complain about Yabusele.
