So let's hear some potential guys that will join them in Golden State, because honestly I have no clue. I'm not even sure what kind of room or exceptions they'll have to sign anyone.

Here's their current roster:

PG: Curry, Livingston
SG: Thompson, ??
SF: Durant, Igoudala
PF: Green, ??
C: ??, ??

So who can they legitimately get to start at the center position? If they try to go small by adding Igoudala to the starting lineup and playing Green at center, then they'll get absolutely killed on the boards and in the post. It's not a realistic option. So who starts at the center spot, and who can they legitimately get for the supporting cast?

Varejao, maybe?

i am surprised that GS was able to pick up the option on Livingston.  I thought he was a goner too.  That is a pretty key retained player for them.

Did they give up Ezeli's rights?

I would have thought his cap hold would have been fairly small given he was a late first.

Theyll have an exception to spend but past that it'll be vet mins. Maybe they get someone like Stoudamire or Pachulia to come for the vet min. They need to get some decent guys to fill out the roster otherwise I fear they won't be as good as advertised

Yeah, Ezeli is gone. They didn't want to pay him the big bucks he was going to get either. I haven't heard anything about anyone having interest in him yet.

I believe they had to renounce his rights.

I'd honestly try to trade Iggy for cheaper pieces but more of them.  Not sure what is out there, but that would be my goal from now until signing day.  Looking around, the Nets seems like a team that would want and could use Iggy.  Maybe trade Bogdanovic and Ellington for Iggy.  Gives GS some more depth and saves them like 5 million (which I think is enough space that they won't have to waive Ezeli and could then re-sign him).
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver,

They could have the posters of this thread at C and still win 60-70 games.

David West looks an obvious title chaser.

At guard = Jason Terry. Maybe Steve Blake. Kirk Hinrich. Beno Udrih. I could see Barbosa coming back. Unfinished business.

Budget wings = Rasual Butler. Maybe steal James Jones from LeBron's grasp. Maybe they can keep Brandon Rush. Rush hasn't played much over the last few years so maybe he comes back cheap for one year to play bigger minutes on a title contender in hopes of a bigger payday next season. Oh, Tayshaun Prince is out of contract. Another multi-faceted 6-7 guy like Livingston. Good deep bench option. Caron Butler maybe. Mike Miller. Alan Anderson

Big Men = David West mentioned above. The return of Anderson Varejao. Matt Bonner. SAS didn't use him much last season. Good shooter to stash deep on your bench. Maybe even a rotation player if necessary. Would Luis Scola take the minimum? Maybe his last chance at a title contender. Possibly. Amare Stoudemire. That is a good one. What about Chris Kaman? Kaman could certainly earn more but GSW may offer him that starting center position. That would be very tempting.

Looks to me like they'll have solid enough options on the perimeter. Those big man slots are dicier though. Need some good fortune.

Jeremy Shockey or Greg Stiemsma would be solid additions.

Seems like Stiemsma is a long way from being the player he once was. He is barely making an impact on the Clippers Summer League team.

Steamboat just has a little rust to work off.

Dint even realize he was still around until today though, honestly.
