It's easy to get down over not landing Durant, but honestly he was a long shot to begin with.  The fact that Boston was even considered a possibility is a sign of where the team is right now.

Overall, the C's extended both Ainge and Stevens, drafted some promising rookies, and signed a four time all star in Al Horford.

And we didn't lose any future flexibility in the process.

Not a bad offseason :)

Everyone is probably bummed about durant

But you're right

We got better by adding a veteran center and a high upside rookie

If i was told in january that we'd add horford and jaylen brown without giving up ANY assets, i'd be PUMPED

Gonna be a fun season
I trust Danny Ainge

Fully agree the C's have had a good offseason and I don't think it's done. I still think they're in the mix for one of those Philly bigs or another shooter for a package of prospects.

I'd argue that we're the only playoff team to significantly improve aside from GSW.

It's not over yet, but we'll see. I'm satisfied with our work so far that's for sure.

No doubt in my mind we're the second biggest winner this offseason.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

I think we had a great off season.  Horford will help us out.   It would have been even better with Durant.   But I am pretty happy with Al.  We did not make ridiculous and unwarranted offers and have cash next year.

I still hope some team offers Sully money and we should not go above the qualifying offer.  We should not go above the qualifying offer in any case.   But this ought to illustrate how little other teams value him folks.

Phase 1: The Draft. Done.
Phase 2: Free Agency.  Still ongoing
Phase 3: Trades.  Still ongoing

There's more coming.

Looks like it might boil down to that now. I don't know what Ainge is thinking. Horford isn't enough by himself to make them a serious contender. They need somebody else up front to help. Doubt Johnson is the answer.
