We came away with Horford. Not a bad deal, decent upgrade and another piece to the puzzle.  Who's left that can help us this year and who's available next year?

I'm assuming we wash rinse repeat, sign some 1+1's to compete in next years free agency class but this time with Horford in tow to help the pitch.

And actually do we try to sign some of our own free agents? Or are there better pieces out there to help us contend this year?

I would keep Amir Johnson and Jonas Jerebko at least another year. Even with Horford we need some size, and both players definitely provide that temporarily. Jerebko is also versatile and at 5M/Year, a bargain.

Let Zeller and Sullinger walk. Zeller was practically a non-factor last year and Sully likely gets 18-20M/year, no thanks.

Terrence Jones is an intriguing option. Young, athletic, can rebound. Might come cheap as no teams seem to be that interested in him which is surprising.

Oh and use MLE on someone. Mickey, Brown and Smart likely get more playing time with Turner, Sully, and Zeller leaving.

I forgot about Terrence Jones. Good call.

Any sharpshooters out there for cheap?

We ought to offer Pau a 1 + 1 deal. GS has 0 interior defense at the moment. They'd have a very tough time guarding Horford and Pau down low.

Festus Ezeli is going to be a UFA now. Worth a look?

Reports say Gasol has offers around 2/40M from a few teams. Celtics should match or make a similar offer but will probably need to say goodbye to Amir officially.

Yeah, give pau a max 1+1. He's a upgrade over Amir and JJ.

Can't think of one at the top of my mind sadly. Dudley and Teletovic were options but they got scooped up.

Actually hope Gasol joins the Spurs if not the Celtics.

Spurs with Gasol has a much better chance of competing with GSW in the West

Sully likely get the QO or team option or whatever?  He might not take it (I hope).

I don't think so. Woj said it, free agency was held up by this. Now that it's over, offers will start pouring in again. Sully is probably getting a big deal at some point.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

I dont think the C's want to sign anyone for long term deals. keep that cap-space for next summer. probably 1 year deals.

There's no need to fall over ourselves to add another piece this year.

Next year, the targets will be Westbrook and Griffin.  Cousins on an expiring may be a target as well.

Nah, might as well just keep Amir.
