Yep, I'm pretty sure Ainge will try hard for Cousins and I also think he'll try hard for Hayward during trade deadline.

This has to stop. Cousins isn't coming here.

I have just kind of lost the ability to see the point. Does anybody really think a IT4/bradley/hayward/horford/cousins team can beat GS? It could take the cavs, but no way it could take the warriors.

I'm at a loss what to do now. Part of me wants to hold onto the remaining Nets picks to protect the future, and part of me says the hell with it push our chips to the table.

What about going after Barnes now? I like the idea of being highly competitive without giving up assets

Pretty sure Dallas already gave him a max (or plans to). Besides, we can do better than him, with lesser known guys. Heck, Jaylen could have a bigger impact than Harrison on this team (probably not though)
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

I'm still a Lil delusional after the KD BS but what about....

A three team trade:

OKC sends Russ
OKC gets 2017 Nets swap, 2018 Nets pick, 2017 kings pick (76ers can swap but doubt it) and filler (rozier , hunter, young, JJ, someone from kings: mclemore?.etc)

Kings send Cousins and 17 pick, mcLemore
Kings get russ and sullinger (sign n trade)

Boston sends Nets picks, sullinger (s&t), filler
Boston gets cousins

IT4/bradley/crowder/horford/cousins

Bully KD and lebron down low with horford and cousins...and let our backcourt do its thing against curry Thompson

He's 6'8", 24 years old and is a knockdown shooter. Max him out.

I think we must keep the picks and organically grow a team. We should do that while allowing free agents to come here. Remain flexible for the future, and allow GS to run the league into the ground I guess. I hate to break it to people, but GS has 2 top 3 players, 3 top 12 and 4 top 20 on their team. That is unprecedented level of talent on one team. Pushing our chips forward can't do anything to even come close to that level of firepower.

I'm so on the fence with Cousins.

Is he an unstable nitwit, that is killing the progression of the Kings, or his he a frustrated young player that wants to win, and get into the playoffs?

Because of he is so young, I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. As long as the core of the C's can "somewhat" stay intact. He doesn't seem to deal with rebuilding very well.

I would be willing to part with Bradley, Crowder, Olynyk, 2017 Brooklyn and 2018 Brooklyn. I would even throw in 2019 Memphis if necessary. Let's face it: KD is not coming to Boston, so Bradley and Crowder are not going to be part of our future championship run, so let's cash them in while they have peak value. Olynyk is going to want to be paid next year, and I would rather roll the dice with Yabasule and Zizic.

Would we take a step back this year? Probably, but not necessarily given the addition of Horford and Cousins. In either case, our young guys would get the minutes they need to develop. We need those guys to develop and we need another big man if we wish to make a run at the championship.

Stevens will work wonders with Horford and Cousins. Next offseason, we would be shoo-ins to add Hayward. Thomas is still young. If Brown and Smart blossom into elite starters, we could make a run. One of our other young guys might step up, too, if given the opportunity.

We've got young, talented players. Let's play them and see what they got.

I'd go after Anthony Davis first. Davis and Hordford would be more ideal.

Davis is about to start the 1st year of a 5 year extension. There's ZERO reason for New Orleans to consider moving him. Revisit him in 4 years.

The guy I'm keeping my eye on is Blake Griffin. Don't know if Doc would pull the trigger on the trade, but he's going to FA after this season.
2021 Houston Rockets
PG: Kyrie Irving/Patty Mills/Jalen Brunson
SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan
PF: Giannis Antetokounmpo/Robert Covington
C: Kristaps Porzingis/Bobby Portis/James Wiseman

I could live with a Blake-Al frontcourt.

I think that frontcourt would be dominant - Al is a do it all, high IQ guy. He'd cover up a lot of Blake defensive deficiencies. Offensively, Blake is a force. He's an underrated passer and with Al's ability to pass and shoot, they'd be hard to defend.
