Scal actually had a good idea about each team having one "super max" contract it could give out that would equate to something like up to 40% of the cap or something. That would create more competitive balance around the league, because true "super max" players wouldn't be able to team up. They'd either have to take significant pay cuts to team up or go to differing teams to get their money.

The biggest problem facing the league today is how difficult it is to trade players and sign free agents.  I know it seems silly in the wake of all the deals this offseason, but it's become too hard for team's to improve.

People were afraid of the best players all going to the major markets but the result is a system that almost demands a huge amount of luck to succeed.

Everyone should get paid the same regardless of talent.

I think it's a great idea to raise max to 50% solves the problem unless guys take a serious pay cut.

They should raise the rookie minimums, as well otherwise more veteran players are going to be losing their jobs to rookie scale contract players.
We're the ones we've been waiting for.

Max contracts are something both the owners (saves them from giving away 5 year 450 million dollar deals and then having a guy break his leg) and the majority of players (more money for non max guys) want. They're never going away.

For the same reason, rookie contracts will also remain horrifically low. Helps the owners and a majority of players don't care.

On second thought, I now believe that some sort of relaxation on max contract rules will be on the table during the next CBA negotiations because owners are going to go apeEdited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline. over this Durant fiasco.

That's what I mean. He definitely could have still gone to GS, but at least make the difference substantial. Why would people pay to watch any other game besides the Warriors or cavs. I'm sure OKC owner would agree with this now haha.
