Here's a question. Where is Durant most likely to win TWO rings?

Steph Curry is on the last year of his deal and they have to get rid of guys in order to bring in Durant.

Lebron is 31 (compared to Durant's 27).

The Celtics have their guys wrapped up longer and have just drafted 3rd and most likely have two more top 4 picks coming to them the next two years along with multiple other picks and Euro stashes....which is largely how the Spurs built their dynasty. They were able to build it nicely with Duncan, but then they were able to keep things going drafting people like Scola and Tiago Splitter and they still have more stashes like Davis Bretans.

Even if he doesn't really beat Lebron...he sorta inherits Lebron's spot in two to three years. Meanwhile even if things went well initially in Golden State...forgiving the part where he's no longer alpha dog...there are still some up and coming players and teams in the West like the T Wolves and Pelicans.

OKC...Two rings?  One would be pretty tough. They arguably improved this year...arguably. But Westbrook is in his final year and how do they improve from here?

The majority of our team is set to improve just by experience. Our team arguably just moved to #2 in the East....and for the next 3-5 years is set to improve.

If he wants one ring as a beta dog he goes to the Warriors. If he wants a good chance at one ring he might stay in OKC.

If he wants a chance at a dynasty as an alpha dog he comes to us.

Not sure if that's where his math is but my math is correct.

Durant can legit get a title here in his 3rd year.  3rd year in okc they may not even be in the playoffs.  3rd year in golden state...one maybe two but it'll be stephs ring and he'll just be along for the ride.  Lebron will be 35.  Again what does he want his legacy to be.  He will be revered if he brings a title here

Even if they have to gut their team to get him, which they do have to? And they still play in the West? There is also still only 1 basketball used at a time in NBA games, so adding another great scorer can only help them to a certain extent , as it will cut down on the looks that they all get. You still need defense, rebounding, and passing to win rings.

We beat GS once and took them to overtime the only other time we faced them last season. That was without Durant and Horford. I think we would easily beat them in a 7 game series with Durant and Horford.

Agree......multiple titles are possible ...as long as Currys legs , knees and ankles hold up.

KD s legacy is not going to be as great going to a team that already needs no one to win a title.  KD becomes KLove .....not fully utilized . Thus history won't lift him up to status he could have .

OKC is not a place , that I would expect to have an NBA over 50 years .....I bet they are moved multiple times  ......he could win a title on a team that doesn't even exist in that city ......for me that would suck.

I would rather be part of a franchise that will hang my banners and stay up for the next 200 years ....

I had this same debate when C's traded for Allen and KG. The fact is there are vets that will sign min deals for a shot at a ring with the Warriors. They won't be a gutted team just top heavy. Role play will come though through vets at min and draft picks being ask to do very limited things. That is the best team setting to win multiple championships. My green shaded aren't dark enough to shad that truth.

I think we are because you have to factor in those picks and Jaylen Brown. But Durant want right now and for years to come. Maybe his decision is made if we trade the 2017 Nets pick for a player on a good rookie deal: Okafor, D. Russell, the 2017 pick is highly coveted. but Durant is Durant.

Both GS and Clev has their flaws. And you bet your sweet baby back ribs Stevens has watched those final games in slow mo and has found all the weaknesses and presented it to KD and told him how he would attack it.

Still need one other solid piece until the rooks can catch up, but the C's have a ton of talent from top to bottom, they just need to mature.
