The Lakers now have Ingram, no Kobe jacking up all the shots and Russell. They should fare better this year. After these signings, I'm pretty confident the Nets pick will be at least a top ten pick, so we really can't complain. I'm not sure if we can land a top 5 pick though. They signed decent role players, kind of reminds me of the 2014 Celtics and they landed the 6th pick.

It's looking good.  Still some decent players out there that are probably waiting for the durant decision before picking their final destination - hopefully none end up in Brooklyn.

This.  I would be extremely happy if the Nets pick lands in the top 10.

I think it is safe to say Gasol isn't going there.  So is there anyone else that makes a difference?

They may be lying in the weeds waiting to scoop Jerebko and Amir if the C's waive them.  Booker, Lin and Tyler Johnson are nice gets for them.

im not sure that's safe to say.   They still have a lot of cap space.  You never know if maybe they throw max contracts at a disgruntled wade and Pau or something.

Now that they signed Lin and are giving Tyler Johnson an offer sheet that Miami is likely to not match, I guess that means they are out of the running for Rondo.

Apparently Portland is prepping a 2 year/$40M offer for Pau right now, who is said to be waiting on Durant.

With the Heat making that initial lowball 10mil offer to Wade, I'm surprised the Nets haven't offered Wade 2yr/40mil with the 2nd year being a player option.  That would make them a decent team and create some fan excitement.

Yeah but you got to think Wade wants to be on a playoff team at least.

I'm gonna save my final judgment until after the offseason wraps up. Sean Marks is obviously a new GM, but he's had years within the Spurs organization, so I don't expect him to be terrible. Speaking of terrible, Marks has a heck of a mess to clean up thanks to Billy King.

As of right now, the Nets are a bottom 3 team again, I do think they may pick up a few good leftovers, but nothing that will help them improve this year.

love-hate the wait again for luck to grace us...
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

i agree. but i suspect that these players are not part of the rebuild. they are, instead, meant to be showcased so that later the nets can trade them for draft picks. this will be a long and painful rebuild so today's players are only important for the picks and very young players they can being onto the nets.

my prediction for next season is that the nets are bottom 10, a lock. maybe they are bottom 5, maybe. but if they wound up a bottom 3 team, i would not be surprised. they do stink.  ;D
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.
