what a sad state of affairs over there in Brooklyn.

What do they got? - Lin / Johnson / Hollis-Jefferson / Robinson / Lopez ?

It's hard to believe there will be a worse team in the league next year.

Hooray for another top 5 pick for the C's..in a much more top heavy draft!  :)

Its not bad for their future though. Eventually they'll trade Lopez too and they'll be an exciting young team. Luckily for us that isn't likely to happen until after the picks convey

Who is this young team of which you speak? The above players are mostly retreads and bench players.

Are you referring to the draft picks the nets will get for Lopez? How much did okafur potentially get? First round picks are the new nba gold. And even if the nets get two picks for Lopez, that won't solve their problems.

The nets should suck for at least two more years.  Thankfully.  ;D

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Good for Tyler Johnson. The Nets are getting a very good young player if Miami decides not to match.

I'm not saying they're the next T'Wolves! Johnson and RHJ are nice young players. They have a who will be a hit if he turns out healthy. Lin isn't that young anymore but he brings some excitement. Plus next year they'll have a 1st round pick and I'm assuming they'll get something for Lopez.

Certainly they won't be any good this year and probably not next year unless something drastically changes

This kind of signing does bother me. I think Johnson has potential to be a solid starting guard.

Good post, TP. I don't fault hwangini for not being familiar with Tyler. He was poised for a breakout year last season as Miami's 6th man before going down after about 35 games. Just take a look at the trust Spoelstra showed in him (Tyler's mpg) and you'll see why he's worth a look at just 24 years old.

What a sad state of affairs period. I've got no idea who this is.

Speaks to the fact that 24-year old undrafted nonames with less than a season's worth of semi-meaningful games are getting sizeable contracts. But then again, it's the Brooklyn Nets.

He's actually a pretty good athletic role player...You'll see for yourself this year. And please remember that this is the new salary for a role player in the NBA. It's cheaper then Turner's contract.
