Everybody on this board that hated on Danny for his draft and not doing the butler trade and giving up half our team now are you Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.ing? He has had a vision four years ago and built it with a young coach and young players. He stuck to his guns knew he could go get an allstar and maybe land KD . It takes a process to build a team. He is doing it and he is one of the best in the game at it. Proud to call myself a Celtic fan.

People are now going to suggest that we trade for Butler more then ever I think.

What is this term?  If it's in reference to poop I took a dump yesterday, lol ;D. Or are you referring to a female dog?

If he does land KD it will be undeniable that everyone here who doubted or hated on DA will have to eat crow.    But if he doesn't land KD, Danny will continue to be villified whenever loosely justifiable.  I think it's amazing that we are sitting here for this moment in time with what has become a very real possibility to land a true superstar.   Danny's putting the organization in the right position; now he needs things to fall the right way.

I agree with the sentiment, just not the blanket "everyone"

There aren't a lot of GM's in the league who can build a winning tradition. Ainge is one of them. He has this team competitive and at the same time has them with even more opportunities in the near future. If he can just strike gold in the draft twice then the Celtics have  real chance to creat something special and lasting here.

Imagine drafting a young center who can rebound and block shots and also picking up a great shooter. If he can do this then this squad competes for 4 titles in 6 years and wins a couple. We need Durant first.

The plan was the same in FA as it was at the draft: Get better.

This plan to have cap space this summer for KD has been years in the making.
We're the ones we've been waiting for.

Also proud to call my self a Cs fan. But your embarrassing your self if your take is that everyone who who was disappointed in the draft is whatever expletive you were referencing. DA gets more latitude in this city the Belicheck does. So a little warranted criticism isn't a bad thing for him.

He stuck to his guns and knew he could land a superstar? They weren't sure about Horford till late this afternoon. I love DA too but man this kind of blanket love for a GM is too much. Horford is a great signing but let's relax until Jaylen Brown becomes somthing till we say he had some sort of master plan at the draft.

The plan has and always been to remain fluid in what direction we could take if unforseen possibilities presented themselves.

Another thread that has no reason to exist.

I've been one of the few I think who has supported Danny every step of the way over the past couple of years.

When draft night happened I admit I was underwhelmed, and for a few moments I felt really disappointed and honestly a little big frustrated.

But then I stopped, and I thought about how many good things Danny has done for the team these past few years, and I decided to put my faith in him one more time and see how this offseason comes out.

After all this really was the first offseason in which Danny has had serious assets two work with, so I felt it wasn't fair to judge him when the offseason had not even concluded yet.

The way I look at it, we don't have to right to pass any judgement on Danny until opening night, we we have our final roster suited up, stepping on the court.  Until that day, Danny's plan(s) have not yet concluded, so we can't really judge him.
