Who are the centers available for vet min? Not a fan of trading any of our core parts. If the Warriors have a "death" line up, we will have one as well (provided Durant signs with us).

Or can we sign Sully/Zeller and go over the cap using bird rights? Would it work that way?

Pau Gasol, Nerlens Noel, Jahlil Okafor, Greg Monroe...

Now that we have a versatile big like Horford locked up it actually gives us a lot more options, since Horford is the type of player who can play either front court position...and who can pretty much play next to anybody.

Id keep Amir. I also like the idea of Pachulia(think hes been super underated, he was really instrumental in the bucks big season 2 years ago and also in keeping Dallas afloat last year) or gasol on massive Amir like contracts. I also wouldnt mind adding Noel/Okafor/WCS but at this point im not sure how much sense those trades would make, and Im not a big WCS fan.
Pachulia would be a good addition.  We could use a bruiser down low.

In this offseason spending frenzy Zaza could get 20 million a year. He's out of our price range

KG and Amir are probably similar as far as talent level and skillset at this point in their careers.  I just don't know about KG and Durant coexisting.  Amir doesn't offer much as far as leadership goes.   Perk is a vocal leader but not the player Amir is at this stage.  Amir and Isaiah worked pretty well in the pick and roll during the playoffs.

KG can barely give you 15 minutes a game nowadays. He's cooked.

We also have Zeller who is still a mess defensively at times.  Pairing Perk with Zeller is not terrible.  Amir is probably our best choice as a backup. He just doesn't offer much as far as leadership goes.

With Horford here Amir is only going to be playing 15-20 mpg.  If someone gets hurt or needs to rest for stretches of game then Amir is good.

I don't know where you're getting this notion that Amir lacks leadership from. He was adored in Toronto, makes every team he's on better, shows tremendously well in advanced stats despite low counting stats, indicating high intangibles, and overall, has a fantastic reputation as a glue guy.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

Kendrick Perkins may well be THE WORST big man in the entire NBA right now.  That's no exchageration.  He is shocking.

There is no way we even contemplate going after him - Tragic Bronson would struggle to help a D-league team at this point.

Yeah I question that as well...

Amir has been hyped on his entire career for his leadership and for making everybody around him better.  Wouldn't be upset at all if we brought him back, I'm just concerned about that Plantar Fasciitis, because it seemed to really limit his playing time last year.

While he was on the court though, guy was a beast.

Amir is like Bass. He is not a vocal leader. Yes he leads by example.   He is a quiet team player.

He makes players better by his unselfish play on the court.

I say pick up the Amir option and be done with it. Let Zeller go.

Horford, Amir, Olynyk is decent center position depth.

Isn't that the best way to lead? Anyways, we have vocal guys like Jae, Marcus, and Isaiah out there with him.

don't we have to renounce Amir and JJ to sign Al and KD?

I never said Amir was bad.  I just said he was our best option as a backup in another thread when someone mentioned perk.  My bad for being nice and saying I'd take Perkins.  And KG and Pierce would be cool with me too although that's pushing it.

I think Amir is our best option as a back up.  I'd take Perkins though.  There are worse things we could do than that.

I'd love to see Perk come back.  There are much worse things we could do than that. If KD really wants him here.

IF KD says he wants Perk over Amir as his safety blanket I think I'd be fine with that.  But yeah by reason we could sell him on Amir and he'd probably agree.  Amir can be his new safety blanket.
