Me. I said he was using us as a tool, that he only cared for money, that he was a jerk.

I'm sorry Al. Welcome to Boston!
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

I was discouraged, but I didn't blame Horford or his agent. He hadn't promised us anything, and it's his career.

Now, if he pulls a DeAndre Jordan, I'll be mad at him.

TP for posting, and I agree about not blaming Horford or his agent.

Brazemore (his teammate that he went to war with against us) pitched him, and Horford gave Atlanta the last chance. Gotta respect that, even though he may have felt a little marginalized by them with the Howard signing. He still gave them the final chance. (6 mil apart???..silly on Hawks part.)

I was against what Ray Allen did, but this was different.

withheld bashing on forum but my brain was thinking all kinds of thoughts as I was catching up on the forum topic that led me to the Aldridge tweet....Thankfully I did not get a chance to voice my insane thoughts 8)

TP for your honesty. Glad you used typing restraint. It was getting depressing hearing everybody whine so much. Lotta angst, I get it...we all love the Cs.

Yes!  Hopefully, we've recruited Dan Aykroyd and Daniel Stern to Celtic Pride him for a few days  :o

I always believed, but was willing to forgive if he went back to Atlanta.  My faith and patience was rewarded.

There was never anything reported about Al saying anything about re-joining the Hawks in the last few hours.  I was just waiting on an answer.  More evidence you can't jump to conclusions on every tweet/report.  We need more patience and loyalty, we're better than this C's fans.  Welcome to club Al!

Feel similarly - I like Horford but was lukewarm on giving him the max.  But then it gets down to the wire and you start getting possessive  ;D  Still I understood if he took Atlanta's additional $ and got to stay with the team that drafted him.  Would've made a lot of sense.

Feel like the High Sparrow here.

Anybody want to CONFESS about banging the crap out of Al in the other threads, and how do you feel now?

TPs to all the honest stand-up folk.

(i don't get one, cause I believed!)

I'll be honest, I was hoping we'd get Milsap.
I'm not sure that Horford is worth a max contract. Still not.
I would have liked Dwight. I think he'd add an inside presence not seen here since the Chief. (KG included).

I like Horford, but am curious how this will work out if we don't get KD.  Who is going to score?

What makes a player a max player? I see Horford with great intangibles. But he's more of a role player. Front line glue guy.
Still the signing is a good one, if it lands Durant. Or if it makes Boston a destination, imagination.

I said if he did that he was. I wouldn't have agreed with his decision to go to atlanta. I stand by that. I don't think I was bashing him so much as he was making a poor decision. I wasn't bashing him.  I was saying he should come here.  Most of my posts were based on if he does that and worded that way.

If he went to Atlanta it was about money and getting a guaranteed 5th year not about putting himself in position to win a championship. There is no bashing there.  Just truth.

What's best for him is relative but he obviously agreed.  I think coming here is the best situation for him. He's getting a lot of money regardless.  The celtics would sign him to a 5th year if they could and probably will pay him anyways.

Coming here is best for him and he obviously agreed.

There is no conceivable reality where that 6mill apart story has the tiniest semblance of truth

Patience grasshoppers. Signing Horford is a great move if we get Durant.  If not I suppose Danny had to give money to someone.
